Man i could feel how much justin wanted it. Literally feel it every round the sheer joy he felt could be felt through my computer screen. Justin’s got the skills just needs the practice. Both of them fucked up combo’s so justin might’ve won had he not daigo might’ve swept had he not so it’s not worth mentioning. What’s worth mentioning is I felt either of them deserved the win and i was rooting for both of them. Reminds me of evo last year when i watched choi take CvS2 that shit was hype, america is gunning for you Japan!
Don’t forget he was a superb player in ST, GGXX, AND CvS2. You’re giving him alot less credit than you should be.

I managed to see the fights that I missed last night. They were spectacular. loved the whole event and the people rooting behind them. loved it when they chanted USA! and when that girl told Justin to be patient.

You have to understand people dont look to him as a GOD… but a VERY top tier player that exhibits years of skills an practice. Sure EVERYONE gets beasted on time to time, but how often do we see Diago getting BEASTED when it counts??? I’ve watch yougin come up like Justin and dammit they show what they have learned over the years in each game… from dedication to execution. When it comes down to it your talking about them in the finals…not top twenty… not top ten… I am talking finals.

Most players (I mean people who compete… not casually) look at these guys as markers to either learn from or try to get to that level. When you see damn near perfection via simplistic play (turtling, timing, understanding spacing…etc.) to performance under pressure its amazing to the eyes an you RESPECT those that present it. You can dislike Diago for whatever reason it maybe but you can not knock the fact he is top right now. Until his counterparts either take out out at a MAJOR event or come here an take him out then he is tops… an same goes for justin, sanford, choi, valle…whomever is kickin ass and either earning their strips or solidifying their already legend status.

I don’t think it’s Daigo nut hugging at all to say that Daigo is a VERY special player.
It has nothing to do with the fact that he’s beatable by people in his country. You just have take it for what it is. People have seen his Ryu, and yet still can’t beat it. He’s damn good.

And I was doing the math on risk assessment vs Daigo jumping in and getting hit, and Daigo jumping in on Standing RH. I stopped pretty early under the realization it was by far in Daigo’s favor. He wasn’t playing dumb.
