I think Wong made himself look kinda stupid when he left his chair mid match to celebrate or when he would stand on his chair. I can understand if he had just one the entire thing but he shouldn’t celebrate so soon.
He was playing extremely well but not well enough to warrant crap like that.

One can only assume what would have happened if Wong had went with Boxer their first meeting instead of Abel. Wonder how Wong feels though. Like did he just shake it off, or is he beating himself over using Abel first.
Actually I distinctly remember him in an interview stating that he wanted to use Boxer but was committed to using Rufus. The main reason I remember this was because haters were passing it off as a random excuse to Daigo’s supremacy. I wonder where those haters are now? :rolleyes:

Dang I got so hype when he picked boxer. His footsies game was on point. I was literally standing up for like half the match. Justin gotta put more more in wit him and hopefully he can win the next time they meet.
The match was awesome, had me on the edge of my seat for a while, but Wong’s antics again were out of control and degrading. He needs to control himself more. I think all that taunting just pissed off Daigo.
As for the match itself, I think Daigo truly showed his stuff as a great a player. It was pretty clear that he had no clue how to handle Wongs Boxer and was caught way off guard. But all it took was a few rounds to feel him out and it was done for Wong. I could tell Wong was saving some of Boxers tricks for the end like the overhead combo and armor breaks, but Daigo knew to look for those and didn’t fall for anything stupid.
Honorably mention though… EDMA! That kid got the right stuff. If he didn’t go Gief and just stick to his Akuma which was already a bad match for rufus, I think Edma would of put on a better show. But that Gief fiasco messed him up. But, seemingly how bad Daigo beat Edma, the finals definitely would not have been as entertaining if Edma made it pass Wong.

Jockriding aside, Justin really REALLY held it down. I don’t care what you think of him, but it’s very hard to pull of what he did. He won those matches fair and square. In some ways Daigo had to play very hard, too. The best part about this match is that it was rarely one-sided or in favor of one player. In other words, you could never say it was over just because of the life-bar.
