I was a little hasty with the $80 dollar comment, but giving a little luck, and picking up some free things here and there (such as maybe getting someone else to do the wiring, only buying the 6 buttons necessary for the Ps and Ks, etc… $80 bucks is do-doable. But as was said, you might as well either save a little more and get a TE or just buy an SE.
In my case, I bought a HORI EX2 first to make sure I liked using the stick and that it wasn’t just a passing phaze. It has been great since SFIV came out but after using a TE not too long ago, i’m now in the process of building my own stick from scratch.
Finally, someone who isnt a dickhead on here. thank you. sigh
I have autism, so i get SSI, as well as my Dad, we both get around 660 something dollars a piece per month, that doesnt go far when you have to pay all the bills, buy groceries, and then my dad always needs a pack of cigs… :\
For those of you who think 100 dollars isnt much, seriously go fuck yourself, espically since the ones who i saw that were from California.
Must be nice to have any woman of your choosing, in Michigan we have nothing.
Michigan is so terrible economy wise, that not even McDonalds will hire men… :\ trust me, i tried.
But whatever, paying that much for an arcade stick is nuts, thats why i said forget it.
Funny thing is, i think id beat half of you with my Boxer in HD Remix with a controller.
Hey man, look. No ones saying $100 bucks isn’t a lot of money. It is. Its just that, even if you saved 15 bucks a week, in 3 months you’d have more than enough for a TE. I can almost guarantee you that if you had 120 bucks, you could commission one of the builders to make you an ultra low cost stick. Especially given your life circumstances.
Either way, your best option on a budget is probably the HORI EX2. If you take care of it, it will last a long time depending on how much you play.
What’s that about Cali?
<----
California is as diverse and not everyone here is the same. Even in a One block radius, there are people from all over the world.
I’ve beat my hori EX2 to hell in frustration over the year I’ve owned it and a friend has a pair of EX2s that have been solid for longer than that. They’re easy to mod as well if you want to move to sanwa buttons or other stick options.
Personally I also like the smaller size than the madcatz sticks.
allan…ive read about a hundred posts tryin to give u advise a little respect is due …autizm or not ,it dose not give u the right to blast cali homeboy an generalize us …catz are broke everywhere ,even cali .
Check out the Trading outlet as well. There are a lot of really good sticks in there. I picked up a T5 for 35 not too long ago, granted I had to add better parts, but it’s still do-able.
I’m currently selling a 360 SE modded with Sanwa and Seimitsu Parts in there now.
