Ok i’m going to main frank and from TvC he is really diff obviously, so from the get go lvl 1 how will he compare from wat we have seen to the rest of the cast zoning, etc. Plus he does not have his roll at lvl1 which Cap have from the get go. But will he be depending on assist unlike Dante, Vergil to an extent to get anything period going? RR looks like he can win a battle with any assist lol so guys can u give ur opinion from wat we have seen…
I cannot wait to play as Frank. The priority of his moves and an aerial ground bounce make him a heavy hitting character. Just what I wanted.
wow this guy is gonna have some mad resets if covered with a good lockdown assist like ammy, call assist, OTG, wait for them to flip out, servbot hyper /airthrow /roll /zombie grab
wasn’t interested in the character, but with gameplay like that, definitely gonna be on my team
I’ll never know why they think America is in love with C.Viper and Frank West. I think they had the least amount of fanfare in Vanilla and Ultimate respectively. That said, he does look REALLY fun and I’ll give him a shot. I gotta wonder how his servbot hyper is gonna work on Modok though.
Since he had even more health than Ryu in TvC I’m hoping that Capcom keep it like that and give him 1’050’000 health in Ultimate MVC3.
Also the chip damage he deals on his paddle saw normals in level 4 is amazing!
Plus he has a dive kick, therefore by the laws of this game he must be good!
He’s pretty much the new She Hulk. I hope he never loses Lvls once he levels up.
Just woke up. Saw the first video… my two responses to this are “Yes! MUCH more faithful to how he really fought in Dead Rising!”, and “My god, that music is such an awful choice. Why did they go with that?” Oh well, I can live with bad music. Will contribute more to the discussion once I’m more coherent and have seen the rest of the vids.
First post looking okay so far?
Also, Frank can zone on his own from level 1 with camera and zombies alone; if it works ala-TvC, it interrupts ANYTHING. Don’t press buttons! (He also gets health haha)
It’ll still be hard though. Camera and zombies don’t give him the world; not until he levels up.
Frank’s Camera can counterpoke projectiles from crazy far away as shown in him versus Storm, despite the need to level I think that he looks potentially exceptionally fun and I want to play him!
Sure. I’m just getting everything we know right now down and getting everything in spoiler tags.
I wonder if there’s anyway to negate the vomit caused by drinking? Tagging out maybe?
Here’s a match featuring RR & FW (says trailer, but it’s gameplay)
FW / hidden missiles is gonna be crazy, level 4 paddlesaw chip w/ hidden missiles lockdown
Edit : nevermind, it’s already on the front page
Pretty close to it. The major two things I’m seeing are that his reveal/gameplay videos probably ought to be embedded somewhere in there, and it might be a good idea to add an Assists section since we know one of them; the shopping cart rush. Beyond that, keeping it updated with tidbits people are posting should suffice. Thank you for taking this project on!
According to UltraDavid, Frank’s camera shots use the amount of hits you got as EXP points; meaning if you get 10 hits in a combo and end it with the camera, you get 10 points. And drinking doubles the bonus points you get.
Would explain things.
And yeah, forgot about that. Will edit it in now. (But with YT videos since those are better for everyone’s usage)
I think these reveals are really interesting. I love Rocket Raccoon’s voice, but I’m not completely sold on his gameplay yet, while Frank looks really interesting, but I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t think his voice acting was a bit of a downgrade from TvC.
The throwing up randomly is making me anxious. It may be a deal breaker if it really is random and not on a timer or something. But the rest of him looks kickass! And did any of you notice that his servbot hyper only hits people in the air? And how would that work on MODOK? THESE QUESTIONS MUST BE ANSWERED!
It’s timer based, much similar to Arthur’s gold armor. So I would tag him out after leveling him up just for safety.
HAHA THAT’S HILARIOUS.
As a TvC buff I’m very proud of what they did to ‘fix’ Frank. He was interesting before but now he’s REALLY interesting and much more true to his character.
tagging him probably just delays the puking, you’re not escaping that
Frank looks really intresting and fun to pick up.
Not to mention a faithful representation of what Dead Rising is all about.
Grats to .Guy on the thread, I know you’ve been waiting for an eternity :wgrin:
