Why does nobody do the Bnb until u get to the launcher, Do J.H into killer bee, relaunch, J.H skydance to Beehive, Cold shower (2hits)>stinger (wallbounce) into skydance again into another Beehive. For some reason if u beehive after skydance (NOT HARD KNOCKDOWN SKYDANCE.) The ground bounces reset allowing you to do more than usual. I managed to get 4 ground bounces+ridiculous damage for a Solo dante combo.

This is corner only, I just never seen people do it. Ever.

I think 815k with 1 meter is worth learning, thats just my opinion…and the timing isnt THAT hard…

uhhh what are you talking about? we’ve been doing that since day 1 ultimate, and doing the ground bounce reset since mid-vanilla.

How come nobody does it? I just find it strange simply cause I still see the normal Bnb even @ high level play. The damage output is FAR better.

Is there anyway to use akuma’s tatsu midscreen and whats the most damaging way to combo off it after a teleport mixup… I sound like a scrub but someone always knows more than and I would rather sound like a scrub asking than look like one when im playing lol

In Vanilla you could do hard knockdown (hammer/j.S) call Akuma > Volcano > Airdash Forward j.S. Don’t know if it’s still possible in Ultimate.

Any tips/tricks to not get crossed up after doing Cold Shower xx Stinger in the corner? I can usually do Stinger BC Million Carats pretty consistently but against Nova and a few others, I always either get Beehive (Im guessing from holding fwd too long), reverse Beehive (most likely autocorrection on the first one), or Revolver because Dante crossed under.

I always thought two shot wouldnt cross up and 4 shots would but I guess thats just when you do the actual Bold Cancel jump

Hey guys, I’ve been trying Dark Sonic’s tac combo that was posted back in vanilla but it doesn’t seem to work anymore.

Dante (in devil trigger)->j.H->j.236M->j.M double jump j.M j.H->214S (fly)->[ j.h->j.236M]x3->j.H j.S->Dante stuff.

I can’t get anything after the second j.h.236M in the x3 part.

Anyone have a new one figured out for umvc3?

I was playing around a bit with TAC Devil Trigger stuff, mostly trying thunderbolt and psycho crusher in conjunction with flight mode. But I had trouble finding anything really consistent, especially out of the corner. Then again, I only tried a couple of times before giving up lol. I do have some ideas floating around in my head though, I’ll probably give it another go tomorrow.

Adds abooouuuuut 100K at the end of a combo I believe (is that good for a TAC combo? I have no idea), and no meter of course :sad:. I came up with a few variations as well, but I could do this one most consistently. A problem with this combo is it takes up most of your DT time, and if it runs out in the middle then lol. Also, I rarely find myself with a Devil Triggered Dante waiting on the sidelines. Although,

If you have another character with an install super, you can do a Dante combo, blablabla, move that causes a ground bounce, cancel into DT, buff DHC into your other character, relaunch, TAC. But I don’t think it’s really worth the cost of 2 meters, plus not being able to build any. Purely for styling on somebody, I suppose.
Probably a better way would be combocombocombo, Sky Dance knockdown, cancel into DT, tag in another character with an OTG, launch, TAC. I tried messing around with a Stinger wallbounce into DT, tag in, but couldn’t get it to work. Maybe I’ll try again later

I can’t never get stinger->volcano-> j.H-> qcf + M-> j.H-> s.H to connect unless I’m in the corner. WTF am I doing wrong. The s.H always misses when I hit the ground because the oponent gos too far back in the air.

Delay both jHs. The way I see it, the first delayed a small bit so that the opponent gets positioned correctly. If not, the opponent doesnt get to fall and ends up being too high. The second is delayed to give Dante enough time to land and recover.

could someone tell me a good beginners combo for dante. i’m still new to the game and i just want to have a simple combo to start off with as i’m still learning the game. later on i’ll be back looking into the more tricky ones.

First and foremost, what can you do?

Can you do a dragon punch motion?
Can you Bold Cancel?

well yeah i can do all the motions and whatnot. I’m just looking for something that isn’t easy to drop so i won’t have to worry to much about it. like so there is less of a chance lag will screw me over. and just for something i can do while i’m getting used to playing the character.

and whats a bold cancel? i understand cancel but don’t know what bold means yet

Dante has a move called Bold Move ( :s:+:atk: ) which cancels any standing normal attack into a jump. A Bold Cancel is just doing Bold Move to cancel the attack. In MvC3, you can cancel the pre-jump frames into any ground special or hyper. This is important to Dante because his :f:+:h: is his longest normal but it can’t be canceled into anything. However, by inputting Bold Move as Stinger ( :f:+:h: ) hits, you can cancel into a special or hyper and continue the combo.

For example: His bnb starter is usually

j:h: land :m::h::f:+:h: :s:+:atk: :dp:+:m:

If you want to get used to playing Dante, I highly suggest practicing Bold Cancels because they’re essential. However you can find less dmging options such as replacing :f:+:h: with :d:+:h:
