I noticed for the Shot Loops that if you do ( Basic BnB into Volcano) M H Air Play H S And then go for the shoot loops it sets you up in the perfect position and becomes relatively easy. So far i have only tried it on Ryu and Arthur but it seems very consistent.

Im guessing what he meant is what you do after that. It can be a little daunting for a new player picking dante up since there are so goddamn many variations you really don’t know which BnB to settle on.

What do you guys use?

My “basic” bnb is lmh stinger bc volcano j.h, airplay, j.h, st.s xx charge shots xx prop shredder (airtrick) hammer, cold shower xx stinger bc (airtrick if outside of the corner) hammer, volcano xx beehive, volcano xx beehive xx million dollars.

Depending on the assists i have available and screen position i extend it with acid rain loops (usually 1-2) and stuff like call assist, volcano (assist hits) j.s/hammer.

Thats also my bnb but for big characters I do my double acid rain combo since the only timing is the Prop Shredder really.

List of ways to extend the basic bnb with some assists

Strider (Vajra) - use it to knockdown after Jam Session or Twister. When in the corner, press “assist” while doing Stinger after Cold Shower and BC Acid Rain ( :df:+:h::h: xx :f:+:h:+:a1: :s:+:atk: :qcf:+:l::l: )

Vergil (Rapid Slash) - After hard knockdown call Vergil and do Volcano xx jS

Trish (Low Voltage) - Call Trish before doing Volcano xx Beehive

Ammy (Cold Star) - Call after a hard knockdown and do 2 shots of Cold Shower then knock the opponent back down with jS

Dorm (Liberation) - depends on what powers

Dorm (Purification) - havent tested in Ultimate but in Vanilla you could call this after Sky Dance (whiff) and jump straight up and hit with Hammer

Deadpool (Trigger Happy) - Call then do Volcano xx jS

Deadpool (Katana-Rama) - In Vanilla you could call this while doing Volcano xx Beehive and still get a ground bounce even if you used it before

SeXy-23 (Ankle Slice) - Call after hard knockdown and hit back down with jS

Magneto (Disruptah) - Call during Stinger (in corner) and finish combo as usual (the beam hits but doesnt mess up the combo)

Magneto (Gravitation) - Call during Stinger (in Corner) and after Hammer, jump and hit the opponent with Hammer again[/details]

So Nova’s centurion rush not only ignores groundbounce but also resets it so things like skydance > beehive > stinger+assist > volcano~beehive > stinger > volcano~beehive > super is possible.

Starting with 5A in the corner nets 751k which isn’t bad. If skydance causes a groundbounce instead you can teleport > call nova > crystal~million carats > volcano~beehive > super for about 735k (again starting off 5A).

So Dante could do a combo with three groundbounces? Nice. It’s a shame that I don’t like Nova though.

Does anybody have any hard hitting combos off of vajra knockdown?
If I start with prop shredder the combo gets scaled horribly, and if I try to start with volcano j. H airplay j.H, I can’t get anything from it unless I’m in the corner.

In the corner I can do volcano j.H airplay, j.H, S, sj. MH killer bee, then continue with the rest of the combo for good damage, but outside the corner it doesn’t work because of the new pushback on j.H

in midscreen i use: Volcano j.H airplay j.H s.H s.SxH into Stinger BC teleport volcanoxxbehive but the timing is really strict u want to delay the 2nd j.H the most u can…u can also do
volcano j.H airplay j.H s.H s.S slight delay HHH (gunshots) 321LxxFireworks

After playing with it for a minute I can get it pretty good, I didn’t think about going into wallbounce off of the first S

Deadpool’s OTG assist does the same thing too I believe. But yeah I use killer bee (1 groundbounce) beehive (2) and another beehive (3). So I am guranteed at least 2 beehives in any combo and 3 in the most optimal.

How are you getting Nova’s assist to reset the groundbounce? All the times I’ve tried, it will cause a forced ground bounce but won’t actually reset it the way Deadpool’s does.

You have to call it so it hits while the opponent is caught in your beehive so that it resets the ground bounce but does not use it.

So for example in the corner do: volcano-beehive >(groundbounce) stinger + assist > bold cancel into volcano-beehive > (this where they will groundbounce again) stinger > volcano-beehive.

If you used a groundbounce already (say like you used it for killer bee) you can do call nova > volcano-beehive (nova hits) > (again, here you will get another groundbounce) stinger bc volcano-beehive.

This is kind of hard to do midscreen but it is possible. One way to pretty much always guarantee corner is after cold shower bold cancel teleport you can do j.S and whiff killer bee and they should end up in the corner (I saw a Dante in Dallas do this and thought it was pretty ingenious).

Edit: my corner combo for this is 5ABC > 6C > Bold Cancel > 623B > j.C > j.236B > j.C > 5C > 5S > j.C > j.236A > 44 5S > 6C > Bold Cancel > j.236C > 623B-B > 6C+ Nova Assist > Bold Cancel > 623B-B > 6C > Bold Cancel > 623B-B > Super

Hey can you guys help me with something. I know you can continue a combo after Dante’s lvl 3 hyper, but whats the timing with it or how do I do it at all? Thanks in adv

Look for when he puts the sword away and then input dash. Thats how I do it.

I’m sure there other ways on the timing.

Thanks bro, that seems doable. Quick question though, the series after the airplay, Im a little confused. Its j. :h:, land s. :s:, s. :h:. How does that work? Wont the st. :s: launch them? Or am I missing something here?

So just one H after S. Ive noticed if I hit H too much after S they fall out of prop shredder often. So one H upshot only?
