There’s a major going down in portugal in 2 weeks, I need to be as ready for it as I can be. Better late than never.

Not only that, but revolver combos are just sexy in general.

I’ve noticed that when i’m doing down shots to stinger wall bounce in the corner half the time i get myself crossed up without even seeing the opponent slightly go to the other side of dante, anyone else have the same problem or a solution?

If you have Ryuenjin assist, you can do Cold Shower>Stinger>Call Zero while they’re falling>Acid Rain x N>Revolver

One way to avoid the crossup is to take a slight step back before you do the cold shower. Another way is to cut the second half of cold shower so it hits only twice and does not launch the opponent high enough to cross you up.

It depends on where the crossup is happening. If the crossup is happening when you hit J.S (as in you hit with the back side of J.S) then you can just airdash back before the J.S to avoid crossing up. If the crossup is happening before the bold move (rare but I recall someone having this issue) you need to do what don_tknow posted above me.

You can avoid the first situation in the same ways, i actually thought he was talking about that. Though backdashing is a pretty good way too, didn’t think about that.

Question, I just started playing dante, every time I try to get the dhc glitch with that pull move 236h 236h I believe. I set it up off of 6h 236h 236h most of the time I get jam session instead of the missiles/pull. Anyone got a trick to not get it? Also I saw u can also setup dhc glitch off of 632h i was mashing s to get that ender that goes into DHC glitch, but sometimes it doesn’t come out… is it a just frame? Or when do you actually hit S

what I do: 3HHHH 6H, (neutral) 412(L+S) 36H 236H

Im pretty sure the full downward guns is HH to start and another H for the additional shots, but hitting the button four times then the Stinger seems to help with my timing for the stinger. The briefest delay at neutral and the half circle input gets rid of the 6 from the buffer so you get hysteric instead of jam session, and doing the bold move at the down section of the half circle forward gets the timing right for bold cancel to hysteric. Make the final 236H to cancel hysteric to grapple slowly and precisely. The style cancel moves like that are pretty picky about the input.

The second way, the crazy dance, is almost a just frame (its a 2 frame window). Each of the three moves that lead to crazy dance have a different spot to hit the S, and because of hit delay, the timing is different on hit or on whiff, but either way, it’s a 2 frame window to get it right. I go by the sound of the hits; off of reverb shock (214L), after that last hits is a deep base ‘thu-thunk’. The window is after the ‘thunk’; if the ‘thu’ is 1, and the thunk is ‘2’, the windows is the same steady count to 3. ‘thu-thunk-press’ at the same rythm. Off of jet stream(214H), hit the S in rythm with the five hits and keep it up; it’ll be the number 6 or 7 in the same count. Off of revolver(214M), the time is exactly in the middle of the next to last and last hit.

I second the four HHHH method for cold shower, as well as the importance of returning to neutral (also a good idea to do after anyone’s launcher, if you have problems with getting tigerknee qcf moves instead of a sj forward attack). I’ll hafta try out the crazy dance timing trick, I can only get it 3/7, right now, thanks!

I’m having a hard time finding a really damaging combo that starts off Akuma’s tatsu assist. It really prorates your combo so you can’t really get any lengthy ones going with Dante. If anyone can post their best combo off of akuma’s tatsu assist I’d appreciate it a lot.

I usually just go for option #1. It’s especially easy if you don’t do the j.H, but it’s really simple even with that.
Option #2 seems especially bad-ass though.

Since I don’t feel like learning Loop combos in case they get ruined in UMvC3 I’ve just been doing:

cr.L, M, H, Stinger, BC, Volcano, j.H, Air Play, j.H, Land, M, H, Cold Shower, Prop Shredder, Hammer, Land, Cold Shower, Stinger, BC, j.S (or Hammer), Land, Volcano, Beehive, Volcano, Beehive, Million Dollars.

Does 713k~ and should work anywhere (just teleport after the second BC)

Sorry if this has been asked before, but how do you continue the combo after the S > AA shots loop (isedelica combo i believe)?
In vids it looks like they are doing stinger, but when i try to follow up with stinger there is no wallbounce

Should we guess, or can you point out a video and the time stamp?
At a guess, you’re not cancelling charge shot to stinger, but rather doing a 6H after the charge shot has completed.
