Not sure if he has less than 800 k health. Overall I felt damage was a lot stronger overall in this game. My buddy was playing Ghost Rider and 4 hits from his J.S took off roughly 40 %. Im not talking about a 4 hit combo, I’m talking keep away where he hit me 4 times randomly with 1 button. Ghost Riders J.S is gdlike BTW.
So yah Strider has low health, but Dante was looking glass like as well now. However, I noticed the damage on my BNB (Titainium Beast), was a lot more than usual too. I think they are still adjusting damage, cause as of right now everyone was dyeing fast.
I didn’t see anything for this in the first post, but I saw DevilJin01 up there mention (In another thread, iirc) how good of a poke Reverb Shock was, sooooo I figured I’d find something with decent damage off it. Hitconfirmable too, so it’s cool. Basically, you wait until the fourth hit of Reverb Shock, cancel into DT. The enemy will not be airborne, but you’ll be left at enough frame advantage after the cancel to follow up with into a BnB. I usually do something like:
Timing on the is a bit tight, but very doable. If you mistime the cancel, and do it after the 3rd hit, you’ll be able to follow up with :l:. Cancelling after the 5th hit will leave the enemy airborne, and you won’t be able to do some decent damage.

Can anyone recommend a decently damaging followup to a landed haggar assist, preferably going into cold shower to prop shredder? I know nini heart has said its better to otg with volcano, but for the life of me they seem so droppable as compared to the normal bnb’s volcano. Like the hit stun has already decayed significantly or something. Thus far I’ve just been doing, after haggar hits, cold shower xx prop, sj up hammer, land cold shower xx stinger xx bc teleport(unless in corner, no teleport), jS otg beehive reverb xx fireworks xx million dollars. Seems well and good, but the thing barely cracks 500k. For reference I’ve got doom in the 2 spot (beam) figuring otg off haggar with his sH etc could be pretty nasty as well.
The team is mostly an experiment since the dante haggar duo is so great, but wondered if I had much better than the above combo on haggar hit for someone with average execution abilities. Thanks!
Just do volcano, J.H xx Airplay J.H, S.H, Launcher, SJ.HxxKiller Bee, Volcano Beehive… Should do about 700k I hate when I see dante players land J.S or Have a hardknockdown and then do some cold shower blah di dah combo that doesnt break 4-5k
With assists, like 900k with 1 meter. With Dante by himself, 800k with one meter. But if you have a DHC glitch capable team you can kill any one outright off a J.S/Hammer
You can always go for DHC glitch if you don’t wanna do the harder confirms.
Nini: I’m a bit confused… first, I didn’t think one could glitch into doom (cool if I’m wrong!), but even so, how is that easier than simple cold shower shit? I never really messed with it, but I was under the impression dantes dhc glitch sequences were some of the trickier ones? I don’t even know how to do it lol. No biggie tho
Smexy: thanks, that would actually be my ideal continuation (read: I’m able to do it lol), though it seems volcano off haggar assist has a lot of hitstun deterioration, and easy to drop the normally simple jH air play jH land HS, but ill try it again, I could just be flat wrong, which would be excellent lol
Edit: ok I’m in training doing this… do you do this regularly? After the jH air play jH, it seems nearly impossible to hit an sH upon landing, even in the corner. And off the regular volcano bnb I get it 100%, so there’s def something different off the haggar assist. Any idea what’s going on here? Even in the corner they flp out, like? Immediately. Hmmm. /edit
Re-edit: jeez, 20 min later I haven’t landed the sH once! Does something have to be done differently in the haggar situation? I must reiterate, when not doing this off lariat, I get it every single time. So something is very different here.

So I don’t see a quick question thread and I thought I’d ask here, I’m new to dante and I’m starting out trying his BnB’s on the front page, but I seem to have trouble hitting the S into AA charge shots (probably the easiest part of the combos haha), any sort of tips on doing it? I’m practicing on cap/skrull/doom and i just can’t seem to hit it, they always end up going higher than the bullets. Does this mean I’m just doing things too fast or that I don’t have the right timing (most likely) or what?
Yeah. 800k is pretty good, it’s what I generally get with assists when I’m scared of dropping the combo and going for too many charge shot reps(which rarely happens since I put styling over winning most of the time and end up losing because of it).
My execution is so bad that i stick to the easier stuff and i STILL drop it often. And i’m trying to come up with a combo that breaks 900k with no loops but i’m not sure i can do it with my assists, maybe with drones though.
900k without loops, DT or DMD is fairly implausible, I think. 800->~830k seems to be the general zone without loops, and with creative assist use.
Evil Toaster’s skydance GB reset is nice, but 9 times out of ten, it causes the Drones to hit shallow and pop them out, in my experience. I’m sure with practice I could get it more often, but I don’t know if it’d ever be realistically consistent.
