Sorry to get your hopes up but yeah, I just meant I could get it to follow him. That’s really strange that it doesn’t cross up though. Either way it’s a cool way to get in and could mess with people’s heads.

It isn’t really practical to attempt to dash with :m: and :h: and then immediately press :h: again fast enough for this combo. If you play Magneto/Swagneto/Magnus/Swagnus (which you don’t…) you would be familar with dashing with :l: and :m: and using your other finger to press :h: almost immediately afterwards for doing the ghetto rom/hyper grav loop, which works much better for this if you want to dash with buttons. The other method (which I think is used much more, I also think it is much easier) is to input a dash with :f::f: and press :h: immediately afterwards. The timing is still relatively strict either way though.

You could also skip air dashing altogether and dash upon landing on the ground after the j.:h:, just make sure you delay the j.:h: until Dante is about to land, otherwise the other character will recover before you can dash in and land :m:,:h:, propshredder, etc.

I don’t really think either combo is harder than the other, but I do suggest you give them both a try. I would seriously recommend you dash with :f::f: if you aren’t used to dashing with :l::m: and pressing :h: separately, it can be quite challenging to get it both immediately and consistently after air play.

I’m pretty sure he means to tap MH twice quickly and not tap MH and then just H. I agree if you go to tap MH and then H its pretty awkward but if you just tap both buttons (MH) twice quickly, the second MH comes out as a j,H because you already used up your dash. It works the same way for Magnus and any other characters you want to square jump j.H with for that matter.

DapVip - I was actually practicing that one today man and hitting the air dash j.H after airplay pretty consistantly by double tapping MH. Just a matter of timing it the instant you recover from airplay.

What’s the best combo to use if you catch someone in a 2 for one? Air play knocks the opponent’s assist out of the combo all the time. If I land a volcano bnb in a 2 for one I’m not sure how to follow up without using air play.

Starter > 623B > j.B > j.C > j.236A > 5S > j.C > j.236C > Super > DHC or XFC > Tele/j.S > 3CCC > 6C > BC Tele/ j.S > 623B623B > Super

Keep that shit simple. The less hits, the less chances of them falling out.

Cold Shower is a bad idea in a 2 for 1. It suffers the same problem as Airplay, where the projectiles only hit once, and a character can end up eating all the hits and the other falling out, especially if one character is larger. In a 2 for 1, I’d recommend following any j.S knockdown with nothing more than Beehive -> Super.

Never had it drop but I’ll keep that in mind.

Also I forgot to but another 623B623B/214H > Fireworks since skydance resets ground bounce at the end of the XFC combo.

Thanks 1time. I’m going to try and get the timing down. It’s not really a necessity but it helps from preventing dropping the charge shots-prop shredder.

At the very least, you can do j.:s:, Volcano, j.:m:, j.:h:, Killer Bee, Reverb Shock, Fireworks, Super. It’s super easy and doesn’t risk dropping.

I honestly never thought of that, forgot Skydance -> super would reset it, I’ve been going for super simple Killer Bee -> Reverb, but I’ll have to mix it up for all the meter gain.

Also, my new Dante/Sent match-standard:

800k, most difficult step is Stinger -> BC air Trick;

Midscreen - sLMH6H, 623M, jH 236m jh, sS -> Charge Shots(2 hits), sS, sjH 236L, land, dash back, sS+Drones -> Charge Shots(10 hits), air trick, j.s, land, dash, wallbounce extender+assist extender+finisher+million dollars.
Help:

  • Don’t delay the j.h after airplay too much. Lower they are, tighter the sS relaunch is.
  • Don’t delay the 10-shot charge shots at all. The timing for doing it all ASAP naturally makes them fall into the drones correctly.

Corner - sLMH6H, 623M, Neutral Jump, jH 236M jH, cMsS -> Charge Shots(2 hits), sS, sjH 236L, land, dash back, sS+Drones -> Charge Shots(10 Hits), j.S, assist ext. + wallbounce ext. + ender + million dollars.
Help:

  • Identical except for the Airplay juggle. Jump straight up instead of towards(Creates distance), delay the second jH(makes the cM easier), and use cM before the sS(Creates distance).

These are pretty damn easy once you get used to them, and are very solid damage, if you happen to run Dante/Sent.

At that point, juggles would drop.

Does anyone have any tips for getting cold shower after xxx, airplay, j.H, land, H?

Um, well, you don’t, really. In the corner, I’d recommend (Volcano -> Neutral Jump -> H Airplay H -> land -> M H cold shower). Midscreen, you’d want to airdash after the airplay, or ground dash after you land, MH Cold Shower. Whatever’s easier.

If it’s causing problems, using one of your assists to go from airplay juggling to j.S only cuts about 50k damage.

I heard Dante can D.H.C. glitch himself by using his flame spiral special move… How would he go about this?

Are there any optimal setups to get further reps out of the Charge Shot loop? I can’t get more than two.

Also, what’s the best combo you guys have for landing a naked dive kick?

You cancel into Crazy Dance, DHC into Devil Trigger before they land and then DHC into someone else. By DHC glitch himself I assume you mean start the DHC glitch.

are all pretty good for the positioning. You wanna hold back when doing the charge shot loop though.

As for raw dive kick combo, I generally do 2M>5H>Launch>Shots>Shredder>Tele-Dance>stuff.

Correcting myself; Cold shower doesn’t actually have the one-hit property that causes airplay to fail; it generates 8 hits, on two people. It should, and usually does, work in a 2-for-1 combo. I’ve got no idea why it made one of my 2-for-1 combos fall apart, but I incorrectly assumed that was why and stopped using it.
