Almost never, because it does use your ground bounce.

There’s a few flashy things you can do with it, but you almost always lose damage unfortunately.

Only time I use sky dance is when I have used up my ground bounce and not my wall bounce. I can do knockdown>Cold shower>Stinger>BC>Cross under skydance> Jetstream> blabla.

Doesn’t happen too often though.

As 10 Stars said, Sky Dance usually uses up the ground bounce immediately after resetting it. Sky Dance doesn’t use the ground bounce if you hit with the last hit, but if that happens, it’s very difficult to follow with a combo without Million Dollars and X-Factor. In some corner situations, you can :s:, Charged Shots, call in an assist, then j.:s: so that you can continue the combo - but it’s difficult and isn’t better than Dante’s other options.

i had a question about the when you use sky dance…in like a basic bnb that goes like idk

why do you only do j:h: after the re-launch from killer bee? you cant get the ground bounce for the rest of it if you dont. I prefer doing j:m:,j:m:,j:h:,:qcf::h:(skydance) so i cant get the bounce

it does work and is very easy i have been using it for a while now

so, no new technology outside of 2-3 month old combo variations and assist incorporation

so sad ;_;

I’m gonna answer this (or try to with why I would)

  1. Longer hitstun and doesn’t add to the hit decay for later hits.
  2. So that you can combo after skydance. (meaning you won’t get the last hit for the spin state.)

May someone post a good combo that always take you to the corner which end with Grapple please?

just about anything with hit confirm combo>launcher>5HH>5S(Prop Shredder)>Jump Cancel (or Jump cancel Teleport)>Hammer>3HH>Stinger.

well really any combo Dante does carries to you to the corner. What throws you out the corner if you’re not there is the Cold shower>Stinger>Bold Cancel Teleport.

You can combo after even if you use J.:m:, J.:m:, J.:h:, that’s actually how I do it because it makes delaying it easier in my opinion. Honestly, I don’t know why some people do J.:m:, J.:h:, or just J.:h: or any other variation. I suppose it is just a matter of preference. Damage wise the difference is so minute it won’t matter, same with hitstun, because once you sky dance you limit yourself a pretty good amount as far as what you can continue to do.

I think the only thing left to do is to incorporate Prop Shredder > Million carats > DT > Air Trick into combos for style points

Really, when half the player-base plays one character he’s bound to run out of tech sooner or later.

Plus with Youtube and internet forums increasing popularity (not to mention the community as a whole) information is going to get passed around very quick… light years faster than in the past, most theories will be thought of and tested right away.

I’m looking for a combo that sets up the DHC trick.
Stinger bold cancel Grapple works?

It does if you delay the grapple followup slightly after entering hysteric. You could also, in the corner, combo into Rrevolver (214M) off of BC Stinger or an assist into grapple.

You can actually do stinger > bold cancel > grapple in the corner. You have to delay the grapple after histeric a bit more than miscreen. For me personally it’s more consistent than revolver > grapple, plus it doesn’t use your groundbounce.

I’m a bit surprised for the absence of insights on a such important topic as “DHC trick starter combos”.
I tough I would find an already discovered “best” combo for this purpose.

Dante has more than one way to set it up and it also heavily depends on the character you follow up with. Revolver - grapple may be the easiest for many players, but using your groundbounce is bas if you want to follow up with wolvie. Jetstream/reverb shock xx crazy dance is probanbly the best way to set it up, damagewise amd because you don’t have to use your ground-/wallbounce. But it’s also the hardest to get out consistently.

In my case I will follow up with Zero so I don’t really need the ground bounce. Beside that it’s pretty easy to reach an high damage with the glitch so I think the best choice is to keep it simple, no need to overkill (unless you’re facing a full health Thor obv).
I will try the revolver-grapple.

Yeah if you follow up with zero it doesn’t matter at all, just do the combo you’re most comfortable with.

Does spamming reverb shock xx fireworks count? I hear it’s broken and gets scrubs all the time.
