That’s correct, the knockdown of the not fully hitting sky dance technically counts as a ground bounce, which is why the opponent is knocked away by j.S after the stinger cancel. But this doesn’t matter at all, since you can always just dash up and volcano xx beehive. The timing on this isn’t strict, you even can do the dash on reaction if you see the opponent is too far away for volcano. I use this combo pretty often midscreen, because it’s stylish, does a little more damage than just doing hammer after prop shredder xx air trick and i personally find it easier too.
I was doing this combo without the backdash, and starting with :h: before the launch into charge shots. It still combo’d into reverb, fireworks, but sometimes the reverb would go too far and fireworks wouldnt come out. I guess this is what you meant with helping the spacing. Anyway, I tried doing the backdash, but it was always too late for :h: or :s: to come out. Is it a full backdash, or cancelled half way with down then :h::s: ?
Isedelica shot loop variant. Unfortunately, I didn’t start it off with a jump-in and started it off with LMH, so the damage is a lot weaker than it could have been.

800,003 damage. 2.75 meters. Need to be exactly mid-screen or near the corner, anywhere else you have to bold cancel the Stinger into teleports after 5 reps. Don’t know the hits unfortunately since I DHC’d it into Trish’s Round Harvest into combo for 108 hits. I have absolutely no idea how Ise lands J.S after 5 reps…
It can still combo, but requires you to link the Reverb Shock as they’re low in their fall (feels like a 1-2F link). It’s much easier to use the game’s large input buffer to do a backdash to make the combo easier to hit. You cancel the backdash with your normal almost as soon as possible, so you only end up travelling ~1/3 of the backdash.
Removing the :h: after the backdash makes the combo pretty much undroppable, since Killer Bee, land, backdash, :s:, AA Charge Shots x 10 -> Reverb Shock works easily on even the lightest small characters like Zero. So unless you want to try for the link and the full 750k off a perfect backdash :h:,:s: xx Shots, link low Reverb Shock, it might be better to just go for the backdash :s: for a consistent 720k combo.
I dont know if this has ever been discussed for combos yet, But I was messing around with doing volcano jump cancelling into specials and I came across this…
I decided to try volcano and do another jump canceled dp+M expecting beehive, but out of nowhere 2 volcanos came out fast as hell… I was able to do it like 3 more times but most of the time I get beehive.
Does anyone know if its possible to do volcano x2 into beehive if done fast enough? I think it might increase dmg output in combos.
It works on Akuma for sure. Just be sure you’re buffering the air dash during the air play, then hit H once it’s over to link it like you normally would. You’re basically air dashing and hitting H at the same time. Do NOT use two buttons for the dash here, you have to double tap. You also want to hit the first air H after the volcano as low as possible. If you do it too late, you won’t land in time.
After two Volcanos, they are too high to combo into beehive. It won’t work.
I was actually only having trouble with the standing after the air dash -> j.:h:, but thanks for explaining the whole thing, I’m sure it will help other people with it. I however, started doing it consistently a short while after my edit to the bitch post, but I was using :atk:+:atk: to dash. More specifically, I was pressing
+:h: and following immediately with :h: again I and essentially hit it every time, and eventually just started being able to connect the s.
without intentionally changing anything I was doing
It’s possible to begin buffering moves the instant after air play connects, giving anyone a very large window to dash with buttons and still get the :h: to link without very much effort at all.

Haha, thanks! I’ve been finding the shot loop seems easier on characters like Chris, or maybe I’m dreaming. Just wish I could land J.S or Hammer after Million Carats to maximise damage a bit more but that combo’s awkward enough as it is lol. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if Dante players turn shot loops into BnBs. Probably some that are doing it already.

Actually, I use the shot loop as a BnB. Works nicely once you got it down. Acid rain as well.
Any tips on acid rain loops off Cold Shower -> Prop Shredder? Do you want to cancel into Acid rain immediately afterwards? Does it matter whether you do 3 or 5 hits on the Cold Shower?

If you’re in or close to the corner, you can do another :df::h::h::h: into :f::h:, :s:+:atk: (jump), into whatever. If you’re not close, you can bold cancel the stinger into a teleport, or just go straight into volcano, beehive, jet stream, fireworks and such.
ok thanks, and while im at it…im still having trouble linking volcano into beehive…sometimes volcano comes out and sometimes beehive just comes out…is there some trick with the stick that can help?
If Beehive comes out before Volcano then you’re just doing it too fast, you don’t have to do the input that fast at all. Personally I just naturally do 6236 instead of 623 so I just hit 23 afterwards and it’s really easy.
After about 2-3 hours of R&D I finally figured out how to use Sentinel-a assist in a combo. Leads to about 830k, and builds about 2.75 meters. With a good DHC, it’ll break 1m easy.
Sentinel-? Assist Combo
Damage: 650k, 820k with Million Dollars, 1,090k with Devil Must Die.
Requirements: Sentinel-?, Close to or in corner. (Midscreen/Fullscreen variants are possible, just add dashing where needed)
Meter Gained: 2.75 without super enders.
Notes: On the second Million Carats, try to hit them as high as possible. This will make linking Cold Shower much easier.

In the corner you could add more Acid Rains for more damage and meter. It also should be possible to do the combo full screen, but it would have to be adjusted with more dashes, and probably a teleport cancel after the Stinger wall bounce.
Edit: Figured out the double Million Carats does not work well on small characters like Ammy and V.Joe unless you mash the cold shower reaaaally fast. But you could just omit the second one and just do J.:s: or The Hammer and continue as normal for better consistency.
