It’s 2 seconds to charge the ultra. However, I can’t really help you with the execution for dash ultra, since I can barely do it myself.

is it just me or does DeeJay’s focus attack suck major balls?
Yeah at first glance the range seems bigger than it is, but it reaches pretty short because he moves his upper body back somewhat and his legs reach as far as what seems like a jab.

I wasn’t sure where to ask this so sorry if it is in the wrong place. Why do I never see Deejays in streams or at tournaments? Is he outclassed by all of the other characters?
would have been better off in the general discussion but most people are too lazy to learn dash U2 setup which makes him better in tournament because of the comeback factor. There are a lot of easier to use characters that are twice as effective. Atleast in this version.
There have been some deejay’s in the peacefuljay stream but nothing amazing.

I caught Threi playing last night (I thought you did well), and another one earlier this morning playing against DC Hustle.
It’s pretty clear that u2 is the best ultra for deejay but are there any characters that u1 is better suited?
Also, ex.sobat only goes through fireballs when they are just about to hit him right?
EX Sobat has really crappy invincibility at least I feel that way because you have to wait forever to go through the fireballs. Still catches many people though because they don’t expect it.
I would only ever consider U1 against fireball happy Sagat other than that… just no.
yep. that’s why its hard to beat guile’s fireball. you have to predict it. and activate as soon as it leaves his hands or before. ex booms are easier to catch. they need to nerf his fireball recovery. he should not be beating everyone in fireball wars or sb then cr. fierce for doing the right thing.
So is it possible to land super off MGU?
MGU is super cancellable. One way to do it is to start MGU with upforward and then quickly back forward kick. Or you can start MGU with upback and then mash out the super. I don’t like that too much though, Fireball xx Super does the same damage and is a little more comfortable.
If you meant if it can juggle afterwards, no. Normal MGUs don’t give juggle properties and EX MGU takes away your meter.
I really wanna learn to use Dee Jay and need some tips on some of his combos and other things such as cancelling from double sobat to super. Also I need tips on how to not be overly aggressive and how to keep a charge, and also how to adjust and keep charging when getting crossed-up.

I’m quite new to Deejay but, regarding the double rolling sobat to super, it’s not as hard as it sounds. Once you have charged b/db for 2 seconds, input forward and any kick for the double rolling sobat. Now here is the trick-immediately hit back, forward and kick again. The game recognizes the 2 second charge for both moves. With a little practice, the rolling sobat will cancel into your super!
