Got my Happ stick just in time for this, I am soooo hype.
Graphics filter-wise, I think I like the look of “crisp” personally. Am I correct in assuming it’s the middle ground between pixelated headache and smooth blurryness?
I’ll still try them all out on my TV tonight, assuming the PSN demo has the filters.
Yeah, I think that is more for casual fighting fans / people new to the genre who thinks that black bars on the screen is heresy. I suspect that the 16:9 ratio will stay on my screen for all of 5 seconds tonight
In one of the trailers I believe it was stated you can change the aspect ratio. Tried to look back at it but its taken down. Also, theres a widescreen option that i’m sure we can change.
Gotta pic of it, sorry its a bit small but its the second option.
I guess it would kind of defeat the purpose, but I wonder if 16:9 with black lines where the screen would end would work. I’d like to see this as an option in an update.Truthfully I’d rather that as it does feel … out of place to view a 4:3 image on a 16:9 screen.
With just these two options available I’d have to go with 4:3
I think they should apply some sort of “sunglasses” filter to the extra viewable area (as an option), so that the invisible wall starts where the more dimmed down area of the screen begins.
Technically every single fighting game we play has stupid invisible walls. And we believe that’s normal today. So that’s not an issue in my book, and we can play 4:3 too.
When is the demo likely to arrive today…? It’s almost 9pm in the evening here in the UK… which makes me think I won’t see it on the US PSN servers until tomorrow (my time).
The part about guaranteed MvC3 is just you replying to some inner thoughts you had on your own, since nor I nor anybody here said something around those lines. I admire the way your mind worked though.
Don’t we?
3S was a huge flop, but as anybody who ever held a job knows, companies make use of every information available to calculate the risk and possible reward for future projects. CCC2 and AE were pieces of information that led to stuff like SFIV. HF online was definitely an important piece of information for both HDR and SFIV.
Communities like SRK and marketing research also took part in it. You seem to imply that companies like Capcom decide all their projects on crazy wild guesses.
I’d dare to say that you’re the one writing bullshit, since almost every company in every market works in the same way, and even kids know that if a movie, a game or a weird toy sells well, the chance for a sequence is bigger.
It is an undisputable fact that bigger sales are ne of the factors that enhance the chances of a sequel release. You may hate on the idea to spending precious 15 bucks just to “vote” with your money, but you can’t deny the fact. If you want to influence those numbers or not that’s your choice, but the facts will never change.
Although it is a little cliche and almost silly when talking about games, if every person do his part things tend to improve. Your vote for Obama makes no difference at all, but many people voting do. A few extra “votes” for MvC3 are just a few, but when I tell somebody to please buy it or when I buy a copy as a gift I’m doing my part. You may think is stupid, but I can do whatever the hell I want if my own money. You can by Bioshock. I can buy MvC2 thrice.
Snapback infinites aren’t banned. That’s a valid tactic. Deadbody, when you juggle the point character after death, is banned after you reach the corner.
