Meh…seems to defeat the purpose. Seems like they wanted to implement a widescreen solution for gamers that want to fill the screen on their widescreen TV’s. Making it fade out toward the edges makes having the widescreen at all pointless. If you don’t like widescreen, 4:3 is there.
Now as a 3rd option, it seems to make sense, but replacing the current widescreen mode with this doesn’t.
…and I think it’s laffable if you seriously think that one good idea deserves a job at a game company working in the “good idea” department, as if that’s all it takes to be a designer (which is what I think you’re getting at).

Just making sure you guys realize this was announced as only having LOCAL multiplayer, meaning no online. In another thread, they seem to be anticipating an online game.
