Its official MvC2 is back with online play!

I dunno but the thought of having these 6 player lobbys like in HD-Remix makes me wet.

So when is E3? It’d be funny if part of this game’s purpose was to get people hype about MvC3. I highly doubt capcom and marvel reunited just to re-release previously made games.

I suck balls at this game. I always felt like there was too much going on for me to pay attention to but I’m still gonna pick it up when it comes out (this summer?).

So look for me to be sucking it up with random noncohesive teams online.

Me so horny!!!

lol all of a sudden, foreplay is looking like MvC2 hahahaha

Hey graphics geeks, please post in my thread because I don’t think anyone on the Capcom forums is ever going to post in it: http://www.capcom-unity.com/marvelvscapcom/go/thread/view/55141/14385293/Graphic_filter_request_prescaled_bilinear

Thanks.

CUSTOM COLOR EDITS!!!

edit: Dandy I hate your avatar.

Look at the last part of the graph.

Priceless.

No, Capcom just removed the online portion of a ton of their PS2/Xbox fighting games when it came time to bring them stateside. Probably to hide horrible netcode (works better when localized to a small unified area like Japan). MvC2 had online play in the Jap XB1 version.

The best part is the El Salvador stuff. Where’s S.AM to give us beta impressions?

I think people are overestimating the amount of truly good players of this game compared to casuals.

I honestly doubt that all of the new players will quit after a week because they get destroyed by some veterans. Most people who play this game are not that great. Only a small percentage of players are actually really really good, imo. I think the casual crowd will be pleased because the majority of people online will probably be average to below average players.

So I really think the whole top tier argument won’t be a big issue. The top tier is considerably more difficult to learn in this game as opposed to SFIV, imo. So even if new people do start flocking to magneto it doesn’t mean they will have any idea on how to play him.

tl;dr: Casuals will outnumber everyone else so they will probably not get destroyed nearly as often as everyone thinks because they will most likely be playing against another average player and all is well in the world.

Ok people its time setup rules for betting (because you already how we do). SET YOUR PAYPAL GAME UP!!!

Exactly, I’m a pretty standard player who knows my basics but can’t perform any fancy combos and lack super quick reflexes. In over 2,000 matches of SF4, I’ve never been FADC>Ultra’d. So when I start playing MvC2 I think the chances of being hit with a unlimited combo is even more highly unlikely.

Sagat may have his advantages in SF4. But in MvC2 I don’t think Mags is any better then Guile when it comes to low level players like myself.

SFIV is almost 4 months old to most of us, and almost a year to a few of us.

MVC2 is (I have to say this again) NEARLY TEN YEARS OLD and we have been playing it (A lot of us) for that entire time. I, and I am going to guess many of my fellow SRK members have spent so much time playing that these “unlimiteds” have become muscle memory.

and it is called and infinite…infinite combo, and that’s not the technique that you should be scared of in Marvel…at all.

This game looks confusing as hell, so much shit going on at once.

Crazy.

Except that Marvel uses a simplified command set for all of it’s characters, All supers and specials are basically executed the same way. (qcf+3 punches or kicks, or qcb+3 punches or kicks, some exceptions for grapple type supers.)

So it all narrows down to basically is characters with the highest priority and damage output (i.e Sentinel, Psylocke, Cable, Magneto, Storm, etc)

Because of the simplistic nature of the commands that means those that are skilled won’t have the same level of timing or execution for stuff such as FADC + Ultra as in SFIV.

Marvel is a completely different beast of it’s own.

Also the fact that Marvel has been played for 10 years, so there is just more people that know more advanced tactics for the game, compared to the relatively new SFIV that is not even a year old.

im going to only play low tier
nothing to show off online with top tier teams

low tier can steamroll most avg people anyway

maybe marvel should have a warning label for epileptics? :looney::rofl:

ms crizzle!!!
