Its official MvC2 is back with online play!

You are wong. By the way, does Justin Wong post here?

 I BELIEVE !!! HALLELUJAH !!

Exactly, its not every game you play online is an EVO finals game where you need your best team…

Like we all didn’t see this coming…

It’s a shame that there’s no rebalancing, with the game showing its age and all. I’ll probably play it here and there with friends, but with BB and KOFXII. It’s going to be a tight summer with all these new games.

EDIT: Why the fuck did Capcom try to keep everything under wraps until now? (Even getting people to lie about it and do coverups:looney:) Set everything up for a simple online ad campaign? Right…

Hopefully this’ll segue us into a proper MvC3, which will make me very happy.

LOL you’re silly.

And yeah, you’re wrong.

Can’t wait to see Potent Shell on the top 10 listings with all low tier characters.

Yeah, yeah… So a few people are pissed that the game hasn’t been re-balanced. Personally, I’m just happy to get a console version of this game that isn’t going to cost me $80 for a scratched up used copy.

But if you all would get over the initial hype of “OMG IT’S MAHVEL BABY!” You’d realize that he does have a point. Of the fighting games that currently have some form of popularity the character balance in MvC2 is really out of whack. I happen to really like playing Omega Red, Ruby Heart and Thanos, but if I go up to anyone who is at my skill level, or even a couple levels down playing with… well you know who. It’s going to be hard as hell for me to scratch out a victory.

Even in SF4 if someone picks Sagat and I’ve got Rose, I feel like I’ve got more of a chance than “fun” characters in Marvel vs the top

I also feel that trying to rebalance this game would be silly. It should be left as is, but let’s be real.

Because they wanted sole focus (as far as FGs go) on SFIV.

Link to proof please?

Posted a while back on here.

Capcom can publish MvC2 whenever they want. They already paid Marvel royalties to make the game back in 2000. No, they wouldn’t be suing Capcom, because Capcom can re-release this game whenever they want. They developed it and already paid Marvel in an agreement.

You just need to learn to play your team. There’s a dude at CTF that rapes Santhrax/Scrub/MSP with Omega/Thanos and Ruby got some lock down so the people that beat you are better than you.

A lot of people complaining about tiers are the same people that switched to Spiral/Cable when Duc won, then Storm/Sent when they see Justin win then drop that team for MSP when Yipes wins and then they see Josh and want to learn IM all of a sudden.

people ned to stick to what they are good at. stop trying to copy

Old copies?

Now that MvC2 is being re-released, I’m curious to know what people are planning to do with old copies.

I have a PS2 version myself, and I’m torn about keeping it or selling it back on eBay. Thoughts?

Since it’s getting re-released, sell it noew before the value goes down.

Instead of rebalancing, how about being able to customize the match to 1v1 or 2v2. Will give people the opportunity to play the game as it should be (3v3) and refresh it in a way that may give lower tier characters a chance in a competition level with Marvel 1v1 and 2v2 tournaments. Bad idea?

Worst idea ever, not going to restart this GameFAQs retarded debate.

Learn to play the game before commenting.

Yes, because going 1v1 with Sentinel or 2v2 with Magneto and Psylocke sounds like a really good time to me.

Good point, but it’s the internet anyway, people figure shit out like we did. Plus, it’s not going to stop people from playing SFIV anyway. It’s their business, whatever.

Exactly my point. I don’t expect to put hardcore time into it because of that. But having it is better than nothing I guess. Some people can’t even get normal priced copies of this game.
