Hey man, really sorry, it seems I got the wrong video! I meant the one I have just quoted! The combo potential vid of Steve. It starts with his f.mp> st.jab target combo, and then goes into more combos. Just wonder what moves are used here, its almost impossible for me to see what moves these are even if I slow it down! Lol.

I’m having a little trouble finding the juggle properties with some of Steve’s specials and normals. More specifically is it possible to juggle with fox hunt during some of his extended combos? For example, if I start from launcher combo from my partner I am unable to get a fox hunt juggle after a cr. HP to skyscraper, but if I start from straight from st. HP to skyscraper to skyscraper I can get the fox hunt juggle no problem. I want to blame my execution, but I’m sure there’s something else here. I ask only because Fox Hunt is his most damaging single hit and it can help alleviate some of my problems with the games damage scaling. Also what’s the deal with sonic fang’s 2nd hit only hitting after some combos. It’s as if the 1st hit has a no juggle property after 4 juggles or something and 2nd hit is can juggle any time.

Is there a more damaging corner followup to EX sonic fang than C.hp flicker cancel C.hp flicker cancel C.hp HP sonic fang?

Though, I haven’t tried it online yet.

I only know of 3 better options.

If you’re really quick you can land ex. sonic fang, :b:+:lk::mk::hk:, :lp: (flicker jab), :db: (crouch cancel) cr. :hp: xx flicker xx :lp: (flicker jab), :db: (crouch cancel) cr. :hp: xx :lp: sonic fang.

A much easier combo would be to omit the initial flicker jab and just do ex. sonic fang, cr. :hp: xx flicker jab :lp: xx cr. :hp: flicker cr. :hp: sonic fang (takes too long to write out notations for steve. I assume this should be clear enough though.

The last combo I ever try is ex. sonic fang, cl. :hp: xx :lk: ducking xx foxhunt, cr. :hp: xx flicker xx cr. :hp: xx :lp: sonic fang. Best damage, but by far the hardest for me to do reliably. the cl. :hp: has to be done as high as you possibly can land it.

also my mid screen combos off ex fang suck (day 1 ‘marn combo’) , mind posting yours?

Probably the same simple one as everyone. ex. sonic fang, cr. :hp: xx ducking xx skyscraper, ducking body ducking hook, cr. :mk: xx :lp: sonic fang. I haven’t improved on that yet and probably won’t as i’m trying to stop using ex. sonic fang altogether.

what is the best thing people are using after a cross rush as steve?

i’m doing c.HP xx skyscrapper ->mp lp flicker jab

is there something more damaging to do?

also, i have another steve combo video incoming that shows off some things unique to him specifically and shows off some combo spots that i dont see a lot of people using (not gonna claim to be first on anything because for one who cares and for two i’m probably not)

i love that this game encourages you to be creative like marvel but has more rules hahaha

My tv must be worse then i thought. Maybe I just read the numbers wrong.

I took Steve to training mode earlier with Kuma as the training dummy and I couldn’t seem to land the FFF unless I did a jump in first. Does this just happen against Kuma or is it specific to other characters as well?

I just know it doesnt work on kuma, and abel in the corner.

Doesn’t work on Vega in the corner either. THOUGH, I noticed something odd. It doesn’t work on Vega in teh corner, but! If I do cr.MP xx Hellfire dashcancel, THEN the FFF will hit him. It won’t combo off the cr.MP, but for some reason, it makes the FFF work.

Slightly more damage I believe, but less corner carry:

c.HP xx flicker lp ->st. close hp, cr. hp xx lp sonic fang.

Linking st. close hp is hard for me so sometimes I substitute it with cr. mp instead

I don’t know how you do but i can’t do Ducking body > Ducking hook > Back (For Flicker stance) > Cr.mp, the Cr.mp never connect ! :frowning:

On some combos, the cr.MP won’t connect because all the juggle potential’s used up. But otherwise, I suggest you hold downback instead of back for the flicker stance, so that it’ll do the stance and cancel it as soon as possible at the same time. Then, I like to wait to see him crouch to do the MP. I’m pretty bad at execution, so I try to use as many visual clues as possible.

Any tips for FFF? It’s a 4f link, so it should be extremely easy, yet somehow I keep messing it up, either too late or too early.

I do it with a LK ducking and it works all the time. Not sure about MK.
