What are Steve’s BnBs?
It’s a free safe tag in since your opponent can’t quick recover the ground bounce reaction. I combo my point character into steve juggle all the time, then switch my point character back in.
Didn’t know they couldn’t tech any of the flicker jabs. thought it was only light. Steve may be a zoners best friend…
Don’t you get more damage with two flicker jabs over a cr.mk xx sonic fang? Or am I missing something here?
Does anybody know what kind of time do u have for a FFF, I’ve only landed it once , maybe I’m doing it wrong ?
may be doing it too slow. I get it about 90% of the time. It feels like 2 frames, I don’t even plink it lol.
Another note: You can tick st. jab on wake up and link into cr. Fierce. Didn’t know that, pretty amazing.
I found a little combo that some be interested in with ryu and steve, even though i’m not sure how pratical this is because im not sure of steves frames on the gatling gun but heres the combo anyway
ducking into Gatling Gun, technical switch, then charge ryu’s hadoken into his Super art hadoken

Im gonna post this second charge combo just for fun because its a Giant waste of meter if you ask me but its very easy to land in a match with ryu on point.
Ex shuryuken, technical switch, then charge steves ex hellfire into Hellfire Rush
seems to only work with ex Hellfire because i think it takes less frames to charge to super art from the ex version
with julia, after you land steve’s command grab you can tag cancel then do at a c.hp into fully charged julia super for about 530+ damage.

If i land one id rather spend more bar seeing that as long as you have one bar to start with you could do a two bar combo for the price of one… the metergain on gatling gun is crazy good.

I think I have noticed marn combo from cr.lp to cr.Mp into ducking foxhunt. The frame data tells Mr this isn’t possible … So what’s going on ?

i was sort of joking with what makes you good sort of not
just have good fundamentals and know how/when to go in there - the more i play the more i do not believe that getting right in and staying right in is really the best way to play steve, sometimes you’ll have to do c.m x2 into ducking fox hunt, and if they block you’ve got to be willing to back dash or whatever, and get yourself right back to forward mp/hp range
i think forward mp/hp is what makes this character playable.
the more i play him the more i think that he is better than i had initially thought.
I feel very certain that his weaves are going to be a very VERY important part of being “godlike” with Steve, and probably none of us are even close to that level yet.
i’ve started working them in on certain characters where i know it will work - there’s some really cool stuff you can do!

I use HK weave to deal with fireball spammers. LK weave to deal with early jump ins, deep jump in will hit you lower, or they will land and recover faster than you and punish. I’ve been trying to incorporate them into my game.
