Hey guys…So I been working on my Nova video(s). I was doing a Nova video with solo stuff followed by team stuff, but then the video started getting too long. Now I’m splitting them in 2. Is there anything y’all wan to see/think should be in there?

Anyone have a combo with nova that builds a full meter and doesn’t use a groundbounce? I have Doom and Vergil assists to work with.

Lmaooo…just gotta be good with your unfly’s, pretty much. You’re welcome lmao. Also, if the reason that you’re trying to save your GB is for DHC to swords, don’t bother trying to save it…Nova assist resets ground bounce. Here is a Nova Vergil combo i posted a little while ago

As that video shows (probably, I can’t watch it at work) you can reset the ground bounce using the Nova assist after DHCing to swords. Just don’t use Vergil’s assist in the combo beforehand.

Seems like you could get more damage out of that combo by using the taskmaster assist in the nova combo for 6H->Arrows->Cent Rush M -> Cent Rush L/H depending on which super you want to go into.

If you’re going into Super Nova you wanna do Nova Strike L at the end since you can get all hits of the super before DHCing. Very consistent.

Not using the groundbounce before the Vergil DHC optimizes damage and meter build post-DHC, jusayin’. It’s not a useless thing to do.

I’d say that largely depends on your other assist. If you need to use the ground bounce to get a better extension (like I do with Bolts) you’d wanna do that so you can get extra meter BEFORE the DHC… Right?

Of course if you confirm off that other assist then maybe it’s better to end without using the bounce first.

Definitely not useless, but it’s not enough of a mind blowing difference to be conscious of using the bounce or not. If you’re mid screen, you’re almost always going to have to use the bounce to take them to the corner anyway. Also, you can be cute like I was showing in my new vid and save bounces and build the meter, but then you’re so high that you have to cancel super Nova sooner to get them to fall onto the swords compared to just doing the standard stuff, getting all the hits on Nova Super and DHC right into swords.

The difference in damage and meter gain would be like the difference between doing 1.24 and 1.25+ or something.

So when I’m away from my console, I would calculate some DHC damage because maths and marvel

I’m considering minimum damage scaling since it’s a DHC but this seems way too much. Is this right?

from my own experience it looks like either you or the wiki is adding an extra 130k plus!

super nova hits 40/79 times!

i know for certain that the first and last hit does 4,200 at full scaling, majority does 5k.

if all of this is correct then super nova at full scaling is doing 168,000/199,200 damage!

combo used for verification…

cr.L, cr.M, H w/nemmy assist y, S, TK dp.L, H, S, j.H, qcb.S, j.H, j.S, f.H, spencer assist y, S, TK qcf.H (10% powered pulse!,) dp.Hyper (fully mashed,) dp.M, qcb.L, dp.Hyper.

before the last hyper this combo is doing 842,400 damage at 100 hits…total damage with last hyper is 1,010,400 at 140 hits and 1,041,600 at 179 hits!

Then it’s probably an oversight on the wiki
