Discovered a side switch for the Cold-Star/crumple setup: just tiger knee the H Nova Strike and wait to throw Javelin after you land. Works on characters as tall as Taskmaster. Though there is variable timing based on height. Good if you get the standing Cold Star hit while you’re in the corner.
Whats the best solo combo nova can get off of confirming w/ doom’s plasma beam? I ran Nova backed with Task arrows for the longest time, just started running plasma beam behind him recently. I usually just go for a reset because i have no idea what to go for when i see plasma beam connect.
Nova’s reset game is really good esp. with a lockdown assist. Been utilizing the TAC reset recently though, god it’s completely free against people who don’t understand the system.
Durango: with meter he should always get 600k or more. Without, it depends on your assists. I can get around 500k w/o meter or assists, nothing complicated.
marvelo whats your best extesion with vajra? not including resets just combos.Also has anyone experimented with using unibeam as a combo extender?only thing I could come up with is unibeam-rush L into launch H super at the end of combos
Pretty sure you can do 6H, call Unibeam, 2H xx Cent Rush M, Cent Rush H super. I haven’t fuqxed with Iron Man in months but I vaguely remember doing that.
f.H > Call Vajra > s.S > JC Energy Javelin > Cent Rush H or TK Rocket Punch L, depending (CR does more damage and hits from farther from corner, RP leaves them in a better position for DHCs usually, to stuff like Swords or Sphere Flame) (edited bc I completely screwed this one up >_>)
No groundbounce: stuff > s.S + Vajra (maybe s.H + Vajra > s.S, can’t remember) > j.H > qcf.M (with red life, do j.MH instead) > ADD whiff normal > dp.L

Nova/Strider has a good amount of reset potential as well. Midscreen you can do stuff like f+H, call Strider, delay, cr.M, they reset in the air, you slide under them just as Vajra hits for a cross up. Once they wisen up to this reset you can cancel cr.M into flight for to fake the cross up. It’s pretty cheap and catches forward and back tech.
In the corner you can go for the grab reset by doing f+H, cr.M+call Strider, fly, go for grab, if they tech the grab Strider hits them which gives you one high/low mixup.
Don’t use this however on characters with double jumps since they’ll avoid the grab.
You can also do meaty Cent Rush L setups or f+H tech chase resets or Javelin resets. Nova has a ton so you gotta be creative.
So I was playing around with Disco’s raw tag combo with other characters
I have come to the conclusion that Strange is a bitch for Doom. The cr.LMHS does not work for him after the raw tag. The only way I found to continue the combo is with a well timed f.H after delaying the energy javelin.
For Amaterasu, you need to just go cr.LS for the combo. Nothing hard.
Strangely though, I found no problems on Wolverine, C.Viper or Arthur. I haven’t tried midscreen but I assume it might be the same
For Strange you need to do c.L -> Hard Kick. We should be doing this on everyone in the corner cause you can get 3 j.M (2 hit) reps off that. I’ll try the delayed energy javelin later.

MODOK and Shuma are the only ones exempt then, I guess, but if you need the kill you can xf after Energy Javelin, tag, just hard kick. I’ll try delayed EJ on them too. Super glad to see there may be options on these charactets.
