Yah you surely could, I’m just using iron man beam because it’s my real team and I’m not going to take out such an essential assist just for a little extra damage and flash, but I think as far as landing spencer, fly unfly loops are the best were going to get with what we know right now.
Any wall bouncing assist might work too.
Think i may have found a bit of new tech. No cam so i cant record, and as far as i can tell it is only better than current combos in that it is flashy but it uses the energy javelin mid combo as its ground bounce.

Any tips for landing this mid-screen? I have no problems doing it in the corner, but when I try mid-screen, they always tech out after the unfly j.C because they’re too far.
Also, you still planning to use IM? They nerfed him so hard.
I dunno, I can land it midscreen just fine, I’ll make a vid later tonight, for some reason in the one I made I did it in the corner.
As for IM I don’t know yet. He literally had no offense, but everything else is buffed.
this stuff is gold, the fly unfly combos are sexy. I’m new to mvc3, but it seems like you can land Novastrike either in the air or on the ground after the fly/unfly combos and i think its untechable, i dont know much about this hit stun deterioration yet. Anyone try this out?

Lurker on srk for some time (didnt find any introduction forum xD).
So i’m a big nova fan and am currently maining him. I have a big probleme, whenever i try a fly/unfly combo, i get a H human rocket punch even tho my input is D: DB: B: S H

It’s the game’s input leniency. You just have to hit H a little bit later so it doesn’t register as the HRP.
Or he might just be missing the S or hitting H first in his haste. Unless training mode is telling him that was the input, then I guess it was the lenient buffering that this game does.
Training mode told me i hit S then H that’s why i was puzzled
Taking a little break… I think my hands need it. I was working on another combo, but I keep dropping the last few inputs.

Like GG said, if you hit H to quickly after QCB :s: , it will do the Human Rocket Punch. just wait a split second later to hit H
It’s actually better if you slow the FlyH loop down a bit, if you do it at max speed the opponent will be too high to link anything afterwards.
I found out that Nova can combo before he touches the ground after an corner air throw:
Air Throw in Corner, j :h: ,
