It is critical that you pay attention! The Nova combo thread

Nothing says you have to wallbounce, if you truly can’t link anything, just end with Cent C>jC>Nova Inferno

I know I don’t HAVE to but I would like to get something more. I mean I can just :s: to j.:h: to Nova Force after the ground bounce from Nemesis I just wanted to get your guys’ opinions on it and really I just want to get more involved on the boards and be a more active member.

Working on a team specific bnb with nova+strider at the moment, I have a cool idea, but I gotta get the basics down a bit better before I can confirm it.

So are you calling Nemesis while you hit :s: then immediately go into Cent :l: ?? Im sure if you are in the corner you can :s: + Assist and jump cancel the :s: into Cent :m: … To be sure Im going to try this out when I get home.

Preeeetty Impractical combo but can probably give some mindfuck factor if you can pull it off in a match.

Side Note: Gravimetric Blaster causes a Soft Knockdown. Not sure if that’s common knowledge or not.

if this is new, apologies…seems to work only in the corner…

air H, cr L, cr M, cr H, s, air M, air M, air qcb+L, airdash down, air H(then you have 3 viable options that i’ve found from here)you can either air S(preferred for me due to the assist i use that gives wall bounce, i can get all 3 versions of centurion rush w/ this!), ground S(relaunch), or TAC(pretty cool cuz you are so close to the ground when it activates) to another one of your characters. Hit deterioration seems to be giving me issues when trying off a throw, and off f+H bounces, i am still trying to work out some quirks

Ok, so I tested a few ways of using Vajra to improve Nova’s bnb, here’s what I have confirmed:

Corner (804,900 unmashed)

Midscreen (797,200 unmashed)

I can almost taste the extra damage if I can improve this, I was originally thinking that I could add it straight onto the end of FlyingVe’s bnb, but if that does work it requires really good timing to get them very low to the ground for :a1:+:s: or :a1:+:h: then :s:. The other option was to use a jump loop at the end of a bnb, something like this;

If someone wants to test a longer version of those, I’d be interested in the results, but for now I’m going to see if I can incorporate a javelin reset somehow.

One combo I did if anyone want it it’s L,M,H,S—L,M,H, L rocket punch-----AD Down—J.H,H,S----M,H into supernova decent damage, but great stuff. I’m trying to make his S. hit multiple times so, I can land the F.H (OTG).

Is this doable if they aren’t near the corner by the time you hit the rocket punch? I can do the combo from midscreen and in the corner, but if I’m trying to do it while I have my back to the corner, the rocket punch always puts them too far away for me to airdash h.

Yeah, you need to be close enough to the corner that the ADD jC will hit them. This will work on most parts of the screen though, just not from the extremes.

Combofiend lighting up Marn on Barfights. Good stuff FlyingVe, he used a lot of tech from your videos, even that crumple into hardtag+Javelin groundbounce.

But real talk not trying to start a fight, FlyingVe contributes a lot and is a big boon to nova tech as well as many other characters, just hate lack of research.

Or he came up with it on his own. It would be awfully conceited of us to assume that something we came up with, a top player couldn’t come up with on his own.

My intention was just to get the tech out there in a nice digestible format.

I definitely agree with the concept, although I do kind of doubt based on the spencer combos he was doing even at the end of the last game that he didn’t do some research to start doing more optimal combos…

shrug I don’t care either way. I just don’t want to start any kind of war about who came up with what, we’re all playing the same game, there’s nothing I can do that someone else can’t. I’m just happy to see a top player using our Nova/Spencer stuff and making it look good.

Soooo finally for the first time I played offline ( Im just about 100% Online Warrior ), and its WAAAAAAAY freaking better. I dont even know if I ever want to play online again honestly. I can do all the crazy combos without much risk of dropping them.

But on topic, I went to Next Level on Sat to see the SRK matches and played a lot of the top players. Bum in particular ( Best Haggar Player in NY and really nice dude ). And He was teaching us some crazy combos, but the thing I noticed is that almost everyone there makes usage of THC’s which got me thinking of some ways to incorporate that into Nova’s Play.

Since Nova’s THC super ( Grav Pulse ) ends farely quickly, he can continue combos or start setting up a mix-up while the other characters supers are still going on. Not a new idea, but no one’s been mentioning it in the Nova Forums to my knowledge. Gonna go into the lab and see what I can come up with. I have Ammy second so I know I can do something crazy during her long Elements super

P.S. Yeah Combo may have seen Ve’s vids but He def made it his own. It does feel a little good when someone uses someone you created. Someone at Next Level was yelling ELEVATOR COMBO when I was doing it not knowing who I was lol
