Actually he’s not a kid. He’s definetely older than all of us and I remember him posting on agsf2 etc. That’s why I call him a politician - he might be interested in the games and the SF community in general - but he doesnt play anymore to the best of my knowledge.

I certainly don’t play competitively any more, mostly because of schedule and the fact that there simply aren’t any arcades around any more. I still play fighting games but I won’t claim to be anything other than a scrub these days.
Anyway I don’t think it is wrong to point out that there is an active XSF thread already in progress. Sure you can have two but why bother? There hasn’t been any real gameplay discussion in this thread at all. This thread is one big retard slap fight.
Edit: JChensor is older than me anyway. I’ll always be young compared to him.
Anyway, i have a question for people who play XSF a lot right now. I’ve heard people say that XSF is really balanced for lots of reasons, and i’ve also heard people say that Storm is in a tier of her own. So … which is it?
It’s very balanced although very broken at the same time, I really don’t think Storm is in the tier of her own at all, sure she’s top tier but i wouldn’t say shes far ahead Wolv, Cyc, Charlie, Gambit, Chun and Magneto.
eeeh I’m going to disagree with ya there Mike. Storm has alot going for her in xvsf. I’d say she’s got to be the only character who can put every one to sleep with resets and make them look more pretty than mags p
I personally feel that XSF is really broken. The slowness of recovering after specials for certain characters (like Gambit). The way certain combos can be pulled off (that was obviously fixed in MSHvsSF and so on). Hell, the health bar is what really bugs me; even on low damage the thing just flies as you get hit. That’s my piece.

gambit can magic series -> kinetic card -> jab cajun slash.
it’s pretty much free against everyone but chun li, and ends in a knockdown if anything hits.
Gambit can even get away with jab cajun slash jab cajun slash in a lot of situations.
part of the reason gambit is so good is because of his next to know recovery on jab cajun slash. it’s the longest ranged poke in the game.

I’ve seen Pilnoy’s Gambit lock people down like that…but alot of character can punish cajun slash: Ryu (Air hyper viper shinku) from close range, chun & juggs from half screen, wolverine barage x can punish from close range, akuma & ken shoryureppa from close range, bison close range air hyper viper crusher, dhalsim from close range (inferno), charlie (summer sault justice) from close range
Kenetic card is really hard to reversal punish unless you have a really fast super and are in close range
Ah, excuse me. I meant to say supers, not specials. His QCF + any punch super has a recovery delay that was noticably taken out of later vs games.
