I’ve seen a lot of Miles923’s stuff on the game and it looks like a good bit of hectic fun… though I keep hearing about some mad balancing issues with some of the characters, so I figured I should get a more in-depth opinion from some players about the game before hunting it down.

Most people in here would tell you they hate the game and that its horrible.
However, these same people have been hooked since day 1 and cant stop (like me).

- Do you want to hate Zero/Vergil for as long as you exist?

- Do you know you are coming into the game during it’s dying phase?

If Marvel is “dying” then every single fighter in the US besides SF4 is dying.
It still hits among the highest numbers in majors and brakes over a 1000 players at EVO.
I dont know where this “dying” thing comes from. I only hear it from stream monsters and not those who actually attend events.
The game however is almost passed its discovery stage, and because of that we might see the same teams and combinations, but that doesnt mean the game is dying, a lot of games went through that phase and still lasted many years (see CVS2, 3S, MVC2, GG etc etc)
Well if you’re going to call me an idiot, I’ll pick up the initiative and call you a fucktard for assuming I meant it would die off completely. I’m just saying interest in the game is waning across the board. I use to know a ton of people that played regularly and the majority of them quit playing. They just got bored of it. And from what I’ve heard from others it’s not an isolated incident.
Waning in popularity? Sure. But dying? Isn’t that a little extreme for a game that’s still top two in popularity? The game is not even close anything that could be considered as dying.

Semantics. Regardless, anything that starts losing steam consistently is considered to be in a dying phase. Such as a band that starts to put out shitty albums when they were once great. People are at a point where they are tired of dealing with the same damn teams/unblockables/TOD combos/infinite loops, and Marvel will drop out of top two probably by EVO2016. Something new will replace it I assure you.
Everything gets replaced eventually.

Marvel is a game where all the tech/glitches have been found(debatable), it’s been around for awhile, absolutely no balance changes will happen, and people are quitting left and right.

This is far from my first fighter, I grew up playing the fuck out of fighting games! I just got out of the more hectic ones like this when I started college due to a lack of time. But what with my university course coming to an end this week, I’m hunting down a bunch of beat em ups so I can get back in to the genre… as opposed to just rocking DoA and Tekken XD
As for the whole dying thing, I know the game had to stop production (so I will admit, I did grab a copy online this morning for a tenner), but from what I’ve seen is still pretty popular… Especially with the likes of Miles923 doing his whole “The Return” thing with the game.

My opinion of it is the same as SF4 netcode. It only sucks if your personal internet is garbage tier. I’ve never had a problem with either online. If I can do 1 frame shit online, so can you.
