Kof is simple…the overall cancel mechanics are straightforward, the system mechanics are not cluttered and overall make sense. Maxmode/HD combos might be an issue to learn for some people but if you ignore those, the game is pretty simple in terms of learning how to move around, safe strings, anti-airs, etc. And like any game, if you don’t have knowledge about who can do what and how to punish things, yeah there will be a problem but overall it’s a game where it’s hard to get randomed out if you know what you’re doing.
Games like kof98 should be easy for anyone to get into, not sure what the problem is. None of that maxmode/HD stuff is a factor in 98.

This was absolute fraudulence, even if LordKnight is a good player. Losing to people worse than you is a good reason to not want to continue playing this game.
Hell yeah, I saw that…Screw that, Mitsuru needs a nerf bigtime before she ruins any more major tournies. She’s pretty much 3S Chun levels of ridiculousness. Her damage is high, she has way too many options, and she’s way too easy mode. Other characters need to work 3 times as hard for the same performance as her.
Were we even watching the same tournament? Top8 had 6 different characters including 2 of the lowest tier characters, and only 1 Mitsuru. LK was by far the best player at the event, and he won it; nobody should be surprised. I think the diversity at the top of Season’s Beatings is a nice statement that Mitsuru doesn’t dominate everyone, because you know there were like 11 Mitsuru players at the event who got owned by Akihiko and Labrys.
This. The only other Mitsuru in Top16 got demolished by an Elizabeth player, by the way (because he didn’t know the matchup and that actually mattered more than character choice, surprise surprise).
And he wasn’t even playing Liz at the level the best players use her (I’ve fought better ones online). You guys are smoking something real good. Misturu didn’t win that tournament, Lord Knight won that tournament.
Err, she’s beatable if you’re a lot better than your opponent…or you just get “lucky” in terms making the right reads and capitalizing. Doesn’t really have anything to do with Mitsuru being S+ tier broken or not.
