Yea part of that is because he has no fucking eyebrows. SSJ3 looks like some unga bunga cave man shit lol.
I don’t mind the lack of eyebrows so much as the fact that in both non-canonical SSJ3 and SSJ4 characters literally all look fucking same, e.g. facial features
Yea. They all lose their eyebrows, have protruding skulls like SSJ3 literally warps their facial structure. SSJ3 Goku doesn’t look like Goku at all.

4 looks neat but the way they went with how the fur perfectly wraps around the biceps is weird, plus Goku lierally regrew it every time he went out and into the form
The artificial reappearance of the tail despite them being cut or pulled out a long time ago did not make any sense
And that’s not to mention the fac that it should have never been called Super Saiyan 4. Something like Super Saiyan Primal would work much better
I do hope it sorta makes it into the after canon seeing what angered Broly was like - even had exactly similar eyes like SSJ4 Goku, and some descriptions say “power of the great ape in human form”

Out of the villains, Cell was probably the one most likely to gel with the Z Warriors tho, roast game aside

SSJ3 is trash. It looks silly and it didn’t even finish the arcs’ villain. Only upside is it isn’t Furcoat Mascara Four…SSJ4

Is it really a retcon if Frieza was just naturally that strong in his Z saga and just never bothered raising his power level through training like everybody else has?
Well…to be fair boh times Goku used SSJ3 vs Buu was to buy time for other characters, not to destroy him. Frankly I’m not even sure if Goku would be able to

It’s not a stretch to believe he didn’t bother training since he was already that strong anyway.

Freeza clearly stated he never trained because he had no need to with him being a mutant prodigy, but after having his ass handed to him numerous times he decided to get better. It is a bit ridiculous how far he jumped in a few months definitely tho. Dude went from being outclassed by SSJ to surpassing blue lol (albeit he didn’t have the stamina to hold it)

Freeza got a Goku type power up. He went from a base power level of 8000 to 150 million from his fight with Vegeta/Nappa to his fight with Freeza.

I straight up think either like some here have stated that SSJ3 just didn’t get the best reception so they ditched it or Toriyama found drawing it too much so he and his crew were like ‘Fuck it, back to basics’ hence all power ups are color or effect based since Gotenks outside of non canon stuff.
