Is there STILL not a Dragon Ball thread? If so

Japan seems to hate Tien.

Pretty sure Goku hasn’t taught anyone anything. That isn’t in his character, especially when the person who taught him only teaches specific people. Not his skill to pass around Willy nilly. Even more since it’s supposed to be extremely dangerous. King Kai was freaking out at Goku multiplying his power x4, much less x20 and to just give that to anyone he deems fit (Goku isn’t very smart) would be pretty stupid.

Gohan didn’t learn the Kamehameha from osmosis. That is besides the point. We aren’t talking about what the characters will do. We are talking about what they should do. I am sure we all know that we are applying logic to the illogical.

You dont know who taught Gohan Kamehameha so you cant give that credit to Goku either.

And no I’m using the logic presented within the story. Goku don’t teach no one shit, so expecting him to teach people a a technique God taught him and only taught him after proving himself is even more illogical within the context of the universe we are talking about.

I don’t think there is anything strange about a guy who never teaches anyone shit to not teach people a technique a God was hesitant to teach him in the first place. It’s not even his tech to be passing along, it’s King Kai’s.

The most Goku ever teaches anyone is that he cam beat their ass for free. The class is pain 101 and your instructor is Goku.

What Goku should do is pretty irrelevant as he regularly does the opposite of what he should do and instead does what he wants to do.

A Jose Canseco Power Pole? Tell me—You didn’t pay money for this?

Why are you arguing with me? The only point of contention we have is who taught Gohan the Kamehameha. I just said it is not what the characters will do but what they should. You are taking what if scenarios that I already said is something the characters won’t do far too seriously man.

Trying to apply logic in a Shōnen will always be a losing battle.

Because it’s dead at work, I’m bored and I felt like talking about Dragon Ball?

But fine I’ll fuck off I guess.

Goku taught gohan super saiyin is just rage

And i assume kamehameha

Masenko is a good fireball

Mosangokengpo is one of the deadliest moves in dbz lore

Why did piccolo never teach it to gohan

I’m not mad fam. I was just confused. At work too. Boss just dropped an emergency quote on me right before quitting time :expressionless:

I had always assumed that either Goku taught Gohan kamehameha while in the HBTC or Gohan learned by watching Goku while in the HBTC. We don’t always see characters learn moves in the series but any time a character borrows/steals/uses a move of someone elses, I’m looking back to when this character could have picked up on it after their first use. Gohan hasn’t used kamehameha until Cell Games and that’s even after hanging around Krillin on Namek for a Frieza 5 minutes and after watching Yamcha grill a saibaman with it. Only thing that would make logical sense is he fully learned it while in the HBTC.

Well Goku had no issue teaching Kaulifa…

Goku don’t like teaching scrubs is the simple answer :joy:

IMO the real missed opportunity for the TOP arc was focusing every single fight on either U7 or U6, with small glimpses of U11. I hated how everybody else was like “HEY TAKE OUT GOKU THEN IT’LL BE EZ WIN”.

I wanted to see more fights between different universes, instead it was basically U7 vs the world. So wack.

And of course Gohan, Tien and Krillin getting shafted, Piccolo barely doing anything, and the fakeout with Roshi’s death

I wouldnt say Gohan got shafted. He went from barely going Super Saiyan to surpassing his mystic form and reachin low ssb level. He damn near single handedly beat those uber-Namekians & was instrumental in helping eliminate Dyspo

Picollo didnt do too bad either, he got a few eliminations and choked out ssj2 Gohan with ease prior to the tourney. Ill give u Tien & Krillin tho (Krillin did well til he got snuck by Frost)

Yeah, because the power levels/power scaling in Super makes zero fucking sense. I refuse to believe that a Gohan that hasn’t trained for several years can suddenly go toe-to-toe with SSB Goku after just a couple of fights. Don’t get me wrong, it was cool to see him back in action, but Goku should’ve just stomped Gohan free

By basically taking himself out of the ring along with Dyspo. Wack. The only redeeming factor for the fight was him tagteaming with Frieza.

I respected it, Dyspo was wrecking shop after takin that ass beatin from Hit. Gohan did what he had to do, Freeza was clearly the one who needed to stick around so Gohan made the sacrifice play

And power scaling been fucked since Z 🤷🏾

The power scaling in Dragon Ball stopped making since with Z. In a little over a year Goku went from having a power level of 416 to over 150,000,000 million. Piccolo went form 408 versus Raditz to 3500 versus Nappa. Dies. Gets revived on Namek merges with Nail who has a power level of 42,000 and gets a power level of 880,000. Toriyama writes his story regardless of power levels and jumps the characters power to fit whatever story he’s crafted. The only Dragon Ball with sensible power levels/scaling was the original

Power levels were a neat idea and a way to indicate how strong each character is while also adding to how menacing the villains were. Then once it got to Frieza shit got out of control. Thankfully the scouters basically stopped being a thing right after Namek so instead the dialogue changed to “sensing strong energy”

Power Levels where a huge mistake that people put way too much stock in.
