He’s been a perv since day one with teen Bulma. I’m surprised Android 18 didn’t kill him right then and there.
Looks like it’s from a movie, not sure which one i haven’t seen many of them.
You need to watch the original series, he is a huge pervert, it’s all he thinks about in his old age.
Also, i have seen that clip in english but I don’t remember where.
EDIT: here is the same clip in english
Here’s more:
I really never kept up on the DBZ fighters after the first one. BT3 has 161 Characters? I imagine that they are mostly all clones. And is it still insanely broken like the other games?
don’t forget the whole roshi microband thing:
uh…translation?
wow…I didn’t know he went that far with that thing.
I just got copies of the first 2 seasons and i’m nearly done watching them. THERE IS SO MUCH SHIT THEY CUT OUT. I mean…I know dbz was butchered…but I just didn’t know by how much. I finally got to see everything and just for the record I’ve been watching it in english just to see how funimation did with the voice acting and what not and then i’m gonna go back and watch everything in japanese. The only voices i’ve had problems with that didn’t seem natural so far are Nappa, Recoome, Jeice and Guldo…probably because I’m comparing them to their Ocean’s dub counterpart. The picture is so crisp on the dvd’s. It’s kinda cool that they went this far for the show in the whole cleaning and everything.
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!

PROBABLY?! You know damn well nothing short of death could stop him…and even THEN…
Is it just me, or is it really hard to find FUNimation’s releases of Dragon Ball?
Perhaps they’re just waiting for the rights to release their dub of the 1st 13 episodes and then they’ll release it.
Also, why are FUNimation’s dubs horribly inaccurate for what the original is actually saying?
Because they took MAD liberties with the license, and also didn’t bother thinking ahead to see whether or not any lines spoken would conflict with future episodes. Such as Goku’s father being a scientist, who invented the Artificial Full Moon technique, and another lovely piece of failure, courtesy of Terry Klassen and Christopher Neel (who were the head writers for seasons 1-4, I believe)…
THE SEASON FOUR CONTINUITY SCREW-UPS!!!
Trunks said that Dr. Gero was the leader of the Red Ribbon Army, which is a big, steaming load! Also, they said that the assassin Tao Pai Pai was NOT an assassin, but they said that he was a general in the RR Army! However, when they dubbed Dragonball (which was a much better dub than DBZ and DBGT, though I hear it’s missing some inserted vocal tracks), they said that Tao was an assassin/mercenary. That really bugs the crap out of me. Between the RR Army continuity errors, King Cold’s gay-ass voice, Chris Sabat making Yamcha sound like a sniveling bitch-boy coward 24/7 (yeah, I know he was scared in the Japanese version, but not piss-my-pants scared), and the inappropriate music that played during Trunks’s encounter with Frieza, you could say that my experience with season four was unpleasant.
What’s strange is that they haven’t fixed the General Tao error, because he’s still called that in the Tenkaichi series. My guess is that FUNi considers DB and DBZ to be separate licenses, hence some slight differences in names (i.e. Tien in DBZ and Tien Shinhan in DB).
What’s even stranger is that, while FUNi still hasn’t fixed all of their earlier writing goof-ups in the remastered sets, they treat every other show under their belts–that ISN’T DB-related–like fine china! Take the new One Piece dub for example… IT’S BLOODY INCREDIBLE!!! They’ve even changed the attacks back to their original names! The only thing wrong is that Cartoon Network is asking for consistency with character names (Zolo, Chaser, Trace, etc.) for the sake of the 4Kids dub viewers and that they’re being pricks, flashing out the contact frames for many of the attacks! Thank God we’ll be getting uncut DVDs and uncut Unlimited Adventure for the Wii for our troubles!
After watching what i’ve seen so far in the uncut…jeezus christ… Is there anyone more lecherous than Roshi!?
I think you’re getting Ocean’s dub mixed up with Funimation…Ocean’s dub was the one that said that Goku was a brilliant scientist and all that jazz. Funimation definitely fixed that error when i watched that fight. I’m still unsure of how far off Funimation is from what is actually said which is why i’m gonna watch everything over again in japanese with subs when i’m done. Has the season 4 uncut box come out yet?
Yeah, I know that the moon scene was from the Saban era and it has since been fixed, but FUNi is still in charge of DBZ and they should have had some say over script approval and stuff. Either way, it was still a huge boo-boo.
It was still FUNimation’s dub. They just hired Ocean Group to supply voice talent. Ocean had nothing to do with butchering the script; it was all FUNimation.
And make no mistake, FUNimation fucked with the script for every single episode. You will rarely find an accurately translated line throughout the entirety of American Dragon Ball Z.
Despite my ranting, I still enjoy the DBZ dub. It’s just that the crappy writing really annoys me sometimes.
I’ll find that out soon enough when i go back through it in japanese. And that whole thing about the funimation actually hiring out to oceans I didn’t know about because I assumed that Funimation and Oceans were were 2 entirely different companies…because of that I was thinking of the fact that other companies can’t do anything with the series without funimation’s permission. And seeing as how funimation as their own voice actors…I didn’t think they’d have a need to liscense out. You sure Ocean’s wasn’t under Saban or something?

It’s a comaprison between Ocean’s and Funi’s dub versions…the lines are virtually identical.
I overall like Ocean’s dub better.
The crappy writing, crappy voices, and the crappy music is what annoys me. All taken together, it kills the sense of fantasy and adventure, so the only reason to even watch it is the fighting–which, by itself, I don’t find especially exciting.
The majority of the crappy reputation that DBZ has in the States is the result of changes made by FUNimation.
Here’s how it goes…
-Ocean is a voice recording studio in Canada that provided the voice actors for DBZ (Viz uses them for MANY dubbing jobs). When FUNi relocated to Ft. Worth, TX, they had to hire a whole new cast and work cheap, since they could no longer afford the Ocean VAs.
-FUNimation is a small children’s entertainment company turned anime licensing giant that possesses the DBZ anime license. I don’t know of their origins, but DBZ was pretty much the thing that put them on the radar.
-Saban is a television distribution company/children’s entertainment company, who brought Super Sentai to the US, in the form of Power Rangers. They also helped FUNi put DBZ on the air in syndication. Unfortunately, they held them on a short leash, censorship-wise.
I don’t know who owns the rights to the alternate dub which continues to use the Ocean voice actors, but I DO know that they can’t say words which directly reference “death” and “killing,” and they recycled the music from that crappy Mega Man cartoon.
Ocean also continued to work on an overseas version of the show that wasn’t supervised by FUNimation. So for everyone who has a soft spot for Scott McNeil and Brian Drummond, there is more out there.
Yeah, that was what I was referring to. Also, in the Ocean dub, Android #18 is voiced by that black chick from the Uwe Boll trainwreck, House of the Dead.
