Maybe…but DB was FUNi’s biggest cash cow and they’ve already dubbed everything else. I could see them jumping on this as soon as they finish the DBGT and DB boxsets.

not…really…as far as i can tell from what I’ve watched it’s the exact same dialogue. They stopped redoing it somewhere during the Frieza fights. I think they’re goal in terms of redubbing was to put the current VAs over what Ocean did and also to give Chris Sabat a chance to bring in his own version of Vegeta instead of his attempt to sound like Brian Drummond when they first switched.
The boxsets state that they have revised english dialouge…and I’m looking at the Season 8 Boxset.
Infact, you can actually hear the differnces in Chris Sabat’s Vegeta post-Frieza Saga between when it was aired on TV and from the DVD boxsets.

They say newly revised dialogue I know but the differences must be maybe a word here or a word there, most of it sounds about the same to me. And we may be talking about the same thing…

Like I said the differences in dialogue and delivery are pretty easy to spot until somewhere into the frieza fights that if there was a difference it was harder for me to catch at least. They actually were making Vegeta curse during the redub of the Saiyan saga to make it closer to the japanese I presume.

And then later when Vegeta comes back to life and sees Frieza and Goku. Goku and Frieza say the same thing in exactly the same way only the redub cleaned up the audio.

The only things that I believe may have new dialogue after Namek was if the scene got cut for whatever reason but otherwise it’s generally pretty much the same. But if you can prove me wrong I’ll admit to being so.

I don’t see the point in Funi dubbing DB Kai since they have most of DBZ twice already. I don’t mean them changing any words or such.
I think it’s actually going to be dependent upon exactly how far they go into ‘remaking’ this series. We already started to see some small changes in Ep. 3. If they are going to do it I wouldn’t be expecting it any time soon.
Raditz got peaced out in three episodes. I’m loving the pace they’re setting in DB Kai.
It’s been so long since I’ve heard the Japanese voices. I predict hearing Frieza sounding like a man will BLOW MY MIND.

hmmmmmmm…Based on the pace of these episodes…I wouldn’t be surprised if the Vegeta and Nappa landed 5-6 episodes from this one.

Is there anywhere i can get my hands on the ocean dub of ALL of dbz? I hate all the other english dubs. Oceans original was the best.
I was checking youtube, and during cell and majin buu sagas they kept the ocean dub voices.
