this looks awesome. while it does bother me that they aren’t using cha-la head-cha-la I was still plenty hype. Intro could have used a bit more…whats the word…magicalsuperbigness?
and did they re-record the dialogue for everyone, or just the scenes that didn’t sound good or something?

First episode and Krillin’s already getting owned. That moment alone makes up for the two years of filler Naruto put out.
I liked how they opened with Bardock. Gohan in the forest is meh, I don’t mind the occasional anime only scene as long as episodes like the Garlic Jr saga is taken out.
As for the themes, I’ll get used to them after I listen to them another 100 times like I did with the originals. The animation in the opening/closing segments are nice.
I have very minor complaints, but overall I look forward to watching this weekly and picking up DVDS as necessary.
I wish Funimation would simulcast this, but they’d be killing their DVD sales in the process.
Everyone, as far as I know. Plus, a few characters have new actors, due to the death of the originals (Master Roshi and Tenshinhan (Tien) specifically. I don’t remember who else has passed away).

wow…watching every episode…its a new series to me…
I had high hopes for this and I wasn’t disappointed. I’m almost tempted to make look at what funimation did in comparison with osme of the scenes. I like what they did with most of the scenes better and I could of swore some of those scenes weren’t exactly the same. Like ShadowAce said…it’s like it’s a brand new series almost. I’m gonna have to keep up with this along with everything else now. When this gets dubbed over here (you know it is…it’s just a matter of time) I’m wondering if CN is gonna pick it back up or not. This show single handedly brought Toonami into the spotlight…it’d be only fitting if it brought Toonami back from the dead.

The forest stuff establishes that Gohan is a pussy that way it’s more shocking when he busts Raditz ass. It did drag though but can you REALLY coplain when they trimmed it down so nicely? lol.
It does establish that he’s a pussy, and at least they cut out the part where he’s glowing and shit, which enhances the surprise when he fucks up Raditz, so this isn’t TOO bad. I just prefer his manga introduction. It’s, in a way, purposely jarring, by suddenly having so many years pass and Goku shows up with a kid, to the shock of the cast as well as the readers.
I agree i just feel like the forest stuff as the show is set up isn’t unwarranted. It has it’s place and set up the turn around nicely. If they just cut the frst segment out for the most part when he fuck up Raditz your just kind of like “Hey he’s Goku’s kid of corse he’s gonna use his head a rocket.” Since him having a kid isn’t a suprise they sort of had to set something else up as a surprise and this edit makes it that much better.
I like how they speed things up in Kai…they told the events bardock’s, DB, and got to raditz in one episode…I guess they figured since the whole world knows the story…lol

I HIGHLY doubt this show will get dubbed simply because of the DVD sales. I for one would be pissed. I already got the whole DBZ remastered set minus the GT DVD’s which i refuse to buy.
