Cell jacks Trunks’ time machine in a 3rd alternate timeline where he killed the androids, but didn’t know about Cell. Gero creating other androids is one of those butterfly effects. Trunks messed with stuff so things turned out a bit differently. It’s not supposed to make sense.

- Because F.Trunks was going to go back to his time line before seeing the #17 and #18 he was going to return weaker than F.Cell… (no Rosat training with Vegeta)
-Cell would killed him and taken the time machine because he wasn’t strong enough to kill F.17 or F.18 either.
- Because Cell goes back F.Trunks gets stronger than F.17 and F.18 (see Rosat training with Vegeta) so doesn’t loose to F.Cell… this action will.
a. Prevent F.trunks from training in the past long enough to beat F.Cell. (parodox)
b. Creates a 3rd timeline.
note: kid Trunks never fights Cell and Goten is born in main timeline.

It’s pretty silent for the most part, but then that crazy dramatic music starts up around the time Gohan looks like he’s gonna blast Kurririn along with the Cell Jrs…intense!
YES. I just watched that trailer above and it reminded me of the legacy of goku. Get that shit, its easy, but it’s fun as hell. I like the second one more though.
As cheesey as the American song sounds like, it makes Gohan look more serious in the American version than the Jap one IMO.
However, the song that plays during Gohan’s lvl 2 transform is too good.

Is anyone going to follow DBZ Kai this spring season? I’m sure there’ll be fansubbers who’ll be ready to sub that day #1, but re-watching a filler-less DBZ might be kinda fun and is also good in bringing back the nostalgia at the same time.

james masters (the vampire, not ken) really didn’t get a chance to play King Piccolo well in the DBE; he had as few lines as halle berry in X-men (although… she couldn’t play storm well imho either). I initially wanted Djimon Hounsou to get the role in hopes of him playing Ma-junior also… meh

Yeah, it’s raw, be we all know the plot of DBZ, so it shouldn’t be a problem, right?
My thoughts:
The stuff from the Bardock special was a welcome inclusion. I’ve never seen it before, so I really enjoyed it, and it sets of some great foreshadowing. It makes the series seem more planned-out and thought through than it actually is, lol.
This is definitely the definitive version of DBZ, visually speaking. It looks really, really nice. Obviously, it’s still not on the level of a modern show, but it’s a fantastic remastering job.
I like the new BGM. Can’t really put my finger on why, but I do.
Opening: I’m torn on this. Visually, it’s breathtaking. It kinda cheapens the rest of the show by being so pretty. The scenes with Goku and Vegeta are especially jaw-dropping. The song isn’t bad either, but it just doesn’t feel like a DBZ song. Yes, part of this is my bias to HEAD-CHA-LA and Hironobu Kageyama in general, but after doing almost all the vocal music for the original series and video games, he just feels synonymous with DBZ now. I don’t dislike the new song, but it sounds like it would be more at home on, say, One Piece (nothing against One Piece, mind you).
Ending: Definitely better than the original. Once again, absolutely fantastic visuals, but this song clicked with me better as well. It really has a sort of DBZ feel.
My biggest complaint is the fact that they left some of the crap with Gohan in the forest intact. Yeah, it’s condensed, but it’s still unnecessary, and I feel the show would be better off without it.

fuckin sick. now THIS i would buy a box set of. i would never rewatch dbz because of all the fast forwarding needed, but this is like someone’s done it for you!
