Seriously, people need to learn the definition of scrubby. I played against this guy yesterday who has something like a 75% win ratio to my abysmal ratio (took me a few days to adjust to being overly offensive in this game vs being overly defensive in ssf4) and was in his face the whole match with Akuma using tatsu into beam super or some various setup into tatsu like dive kicks or normals, or zero doing l, m, h, f.h, s …<insert air combo>. He had no answer to my constant pressure. I didn’t even have to use x-factor to win. He didn’t even take out any of my guys. As I beat him he rage quits on me. Upon asking him about it (along with a few choice words) he calls me a spammer. I’m like if you knew anything about fighting games you’d know that its a legit tactic. He responds that it isn’t a legit tactic and he is better then me. Meanwhile I take my time learning stuff and trying to figure out ways to beat various tactics, if that means that my loss column far outnumbers my win column then so be it. Is an opponent building a team of projectile spammers annoying? Hell yeah! But its even better when you beat that crap.
As far as the topic of the game being too easy goes. To each his own. People like to complain about anything, its just how they are and forums are probably the best way for people to do it. Personally I like reading those posts and laughing at how a lot of them are based on misinformation (this goes for more games then just this one). Also keep in mind that the dissatisfied are always the most vocal about their opinions.

Just because a noob managed to pop that bad boy open, they’re not going do much if you just don’t let them.
cosign. One mistake when someone is in xfactor shouldn’t mean life or death. And bottomline, you WILL make a mistake. All it takes is your opponent to exploit it & you’re toast, no matter the lead.
Agreed. Heres that online match between me and Mike Ross. [media=youtube]_DDrsz-nYTc[/media] You’ll notice he pretty much owns me until I bring out Dark Phoenix and start randomly mashing buttons with X-factor. Then due to my mashing he gets a super off and 100%'s my Phoenix. Had I been a little less panicked because it was Mike Ross I may have had a chance in the end.
I should have stood no chance because he is clearly above me in skill level. I think what this also shows is that noobs like myself will panick in those situations where as Mike kept his cool and beat me. Keeping your cool is definitely not the end all solution to the games randomness but still shows one of the main edges that pros have.

What am I looking for in that video? Iron man drops his combo and gets punished for it. Sentinel… thinks low flight against another Sentinel is a good idea, gets punished for it. Mashes random buttons with Morrigan and dies…
So he makes several huge mistakes in a row and I’m the idiot for thinking that him losing because of it isn’t a bad thing?
marn said mvc3 sucks before the he got pwned by the x-factor Chun. He said there will be more top mvc3 players than mvc2 because mvc3 is too easy to play. he hasn’t change his opinion either. he will probably keep playing it because he wants the fight money.

I agree with there will be a lot more top MvC3 players. A lot of the more advanced tactics in this game arent practical at all because basic BnB’s and what not do almost the same amount of damage. This game is pretty watered down competitively speaking. Doesn’t make it not fun though.
Actually, even a few in the Cap forums were basically saying that while Cap’s solid, they’re not sure if “solid” really cuts it in a game where nearly everyone is broken.
