A better way to do damage control is just to patch the fucking game and rework the x-factor system and maybe sentinel, since those are the 2 biggest things people are complaining about.
We could probably call it broken if it reverse OCVs people who are playing well, but HALPME! fucked up bad. He didn’t counter-activate, let himself get cornered, and then basically let himself get run over by not blocking.
We’ll see. I’ve told you I already think Level 3 XF is too strong, but just in that brief clip of the end of the match we see HALPME:
- Drop his IM combo into hyper
- Do nothing to save IM ( Proton is basically safe on block, there was time for a raw tag or defensive XF activation ) not a true mistake, but a questionable decision.
- Let himself get pushed into the corner with Sent, questionable move ( as opposed to pushing forward after the chip HSF )
- Randomly low fly against a grounded sent ( eating a free launcher into death because of it )
- When Morrigan first tags in Richard’s Sent backs off, but HALPME doesn’t press to escape the corner, not a mistake per se, but questionable
- Random j.C with Morrigan, eats game losing combo because of it
- Never activates his own X-Factor.
I look at it from this point of view too man. Trust me, I’m not just saying this to say it, I hate people that bitch/complain about everything. :shy: But you really have to side with the other side on this one…

I guess I’m just old school in believing that ONE mistake in a fighting game shouldn’t lead to SUCH a harsh punishment. I realize this is Marvel where it’s predecessor included ROM infinites and ****…but that also wasn’t a combo you could literally master in 30 seconds.
That Sentinel combo is so simple. S,M,H,S, Rocket Punch (?) I don’t use Sent that much

I’m new to the whole competitive fighting game scene, been playing em all my life but never thought of watching/observing pros or competitive play. So facing off against him was a nice experience for me. To each his own I guess.
People need to stop taking these things seriously. I love certain games but if I’m losing and am salty I’ll scream about how retarded they are and how I shouldn’t even bother playing them. Taking somebody’s twitter, where they voice their immediate thoughts, isn’t something to hold someone to with some deep analysis. Justin was salty at Floe’s Sentinel so he made a salty twitter post, stop thinking it has any bearing on anything other than he was salty at a certain point in time.

In MvC2, you didn’t even NEED a Hyper, homie. One lucky double snapback and you get to juggle the assist for hours. Just a launcher over and over again.
Salty is a LOT older than a lot of people think. The fighting game community is just clingy and unoriginal.
