Agreed, I’m going to be a little upset as well if there’s no netcode patch tomorrow. However I’m not going to take it back because I have some local offline competition to play. I do wish SNKP would try to address these concerns in an upfront and honest way.
thats your opinion but your wrong spent tons of time in every mode of bb and sf4 because i didnt have a online conection i kinda did things old school like had a bunch a freinds comeover every night and play
so you played versus. Just like this game has.
Listen to project justice please…
Seriously, for the BEST connection possible (100mbps), hook up a category 5 cable to ur ps3 AND forward ur ports.
I’m in the same boat. If this netcode doesn’t get fixed within 2 days (I’ll give them one extra) I’m going to return it. This game has no use to me with the netcode the way it is. None of my friends play fighting games and there’s no local FG scene so it’s not like I can have people over to play. Online is my ONLY option.
Even if it isn’t characters, it’s still bullshit that they are going to try and nickel-and-dime customers after charging full-price for something so devoid of features. That simply reeks of arrogance, and given SNK’s performance as of late, they’re in no position to have such an attitude.
Chattanooga? Damn, you ain’t kidding. Can’t even get regular flights into that city, what with them getting cancelled 70% of the time.
For me its like…well I already have alot of time invested in BB and alot of my friends attempted to migrate to KoFXII with me and they have all gone back to either SF4 or BB.
So without a functional online Im basically stuck with an offline party game that I’ll rarely ever use till they fix things, and while I would truly LOVE to see things improve…I just cant waste the money on something I’ll be staring at on my shelf rather than playing…
Perhaps when the price drops (And it’ll have to, I mean look at SF4 now) then I’ll pick it up again if they havent already come out with another game.
Tried this, and no difference. Also, I’m on a wired connection. The game just simply loads forever, and i have to quit. Doesn’t happen every time, but it happens often enough to be more then just a little annoying. Guess i’ll wait for tomorrow and hope that SNK has a big surprise waiting for me when I come back from work.
Does anyone here had a chance to compare the arcade version on a viewlix cabinet and the console version on a HD LCD screen. Some say the console version is more pixelized than the original, is that true ?
they look exactly the same to me. I changed the HUD layout to arcade as well so on my 24 inch monitor, it looks exactly like a Viewlix Cab.
For those of you who are still concerned over some patch that might have happened already, it is not the netcode patch, here is the link to the forums at ignition explaining that the patch is the 28th (except for us 360 owners).
Sigh This is getting tiresome, yes we all already know about that…however a patch came out last night for PS3 if you werent aware and it lists:
***"Hi KOF12 fans,
Happy Monday!
SNK has just provided Ignition with an update regarding the PS3 Patch:
- In-Game Menu Shortcut for Friend Invites added
- Display of the users Clan Name added under the life gauge during Clan Battles
- Option for registering random players youve battled with online via the XMB FRIENDS tab
- Fixes to the quality of online play, improved online stability
Any other general functional issues will also be addressed.
Hope you are enjoying the game! New winners will be announced for our contest today! Stay tuned for those goodies…"
Now I dunno about you but that sounds alot like the supposed netcode patch that was due tommorow, hence all the confusion.
Hopefully that wasnt all they have planned and theres still a patch tommorow as well but of course noone actually knows anything.
That’s depressing. I’m still hoping with every fiber of my being that SNK will deliver…
As a fighting game fan, we can’t afford to see SNK fail. But they are trying their darndest to. Capcom is nice, but we need alternatives like Arsys. Grrr.
I hope so too, otherwise it will be very bad for SNK/Ignition
There can only be so many blind fans who will defend this game, eventually people will go back to other games and this will fade out, personally I dont want that to happen.
Im not a huge fan of SF4 right now and BB has its high points but doesnt measure up to GG in my eyes, I NEEDED a new KoF game :crybaby:
The only real issue with KOF XII is that it feels very much like an incomplete game in both console and arcade. However, the game play is pretty good and clashing might be the best first time game mechanic SNK/P has done in the history of the franchise. Usually it takes the second game to get it right but KOF XII works pretty well, so I hope that in the next installment they keep clashing in.
Its not perfect by any means, but it is pretty solid and looks good, on par with most games out.
Can you link me to any of these nickel-and-dime stuff you are talking about? Cause so far nothing has been announced.:xeye:
There’s been a ton of internet articles about Ignition and SNKP promising DLC for XII, all appearing around mid-May. Ignition’s forums even have topics about it. It’s not exactly an industry secret that Microsoft is adamant about DLC having a price-tag (thus explaining why games like Team Fortress 2 haven’t been updated since its release), hence my displeasure that SNKP would have the nerve to charge extra for things that should have been included with the original release.
Do you even listen to yourself anymore? You’re blaming SNK for having the nerve to charge for DLC even though you say Microsoft will be the cause of it… and to top it all off NOTHING has happened yet.
sigh…damnit man
