By ‘We’ do you mean the 3 trolls? Okay then. And I explained at the time that I couldn’t make it, I thought there may have been a chance but no. You make it seem like I made a big deal about attending and I simply said I think I can make it. I didn’t make promises. I didn’t say I’d body you fuckers. I didn’t make a video on youtube announcing it. So sorry to disappoint you that I don’t have all the money and time in the world to make it out to this shit to please you and a handful of trolls.
If something happens around Manhattan I might make it. It depends.
Which then you, under the name “Alexisdabomb” back when your Louiscipher handle was still banned, replied with:
Q and Urien are my mains, but I play over half the cast, fool. Again, you like to play butthurt whenever somebody pisses on your character. I wasn’t even pissing on your character. If anything I was encouraging newer players to try him out because he doesn’t have a steep beginner’s curve. You’re just delusional about how you think people should perceive Alex.
Yeah that was what I took from this too. Every character has dumb stuff you can abuse online, it’s just a different game online, etc. I try to play like a gentleman and don’t do stuff I wouldn’t get away with offline, makes online feel more worthwhile. Sometimes they just eat standing roundhouses over and over though and I’m like “eh what can I do.”
I’ve got a good friend I play with a couple hours a day offline. If you can do that it’s better than playing online only I think. Obviously there’s no kind of 3S scene in Alaska, or anywhere near. But I still get a lot more from just playing just this one person every day than I do playing guys in ranked I’ll probably never meet again. Our matches are smarter, anyway. I’d like to start a scene in my city, just dunno how to go about it yet. It’d have to be based on console, no arcade cabs (or real arcades) here. We do have a population of like 250,000 though, seems like I should be able to find a few people who still want to play this game.
This is so true. If I camp outside of combat range with Chun and simply parry their fireballs and parry/punish their jump-ins. They have absolutely no clue what to do. Usually they’ll try a hurricane kick of some sort which also gets punished and you can feel their motivation for playing just drop.
^^^I actually was referring to this part of the quote “Because I think people get comfy with these tools and don’t know what to do if their character doesn’t have these tools.”
Same could be said for ANY character though. This isn’t just exclusive to Shotos. A person who’s played Remy his entire life isn’t going to be able to pick up Ken and expect to beast(example: Pierrot).
Charged Hayates are actually safe. Level 2, me thinks. Following video explains nothing. Shameless plug on a shameless man.…Look @ that points counter.
Akuma tatsu’s are shamefully GODLIKE ONLINE…
Also, can someone explain Akuma’s hp shoryu to me. Does it have like EX properties because I’ve thrown out a meaty Makoto s.HK and it DOES NOT TRADE. It gets plain beat out… EVERY GODDAMN TIME. Is there something special about wakeup reversal that I’m missing? I mean, a meaty attack should beat out the start up on any move that has no invincibility… Am I doing something wrong?
I’ve heard that Akuma has EX properties in his Shoryu to make up for not having any. This could also explain why his HK Tatsu startup is so fast…isn’t it like 1 or 2 frames?
Also… I’ve read the data. To be a frame whore: Akuma is like -8 and -5 after MK and HK tatsu, respectively… He lands in range of anything I choose to do. WTF is my c.lp doing getting beat out by ANYTHING?
I have never been able to punish Akuma’s HK Tatsu on block with anything other than a reversal SA2 with Q or Gigas, basically any super with like a 2-frame startup.
I’ve had better consistency punishing Ken’s SA3 on block with cl.MK->Dash Punch, and that’s a hard punish in itself.
Punishing aside, I think the answer to these questions is to parry that 3rd or 4th hit on tatsus. Isn’t there on hit on it that is normal parry-able (as in regular parry, not a red parry)?
akuma has full invincibility on his fierce shoryu. for 2 frames he has absolutely 0 hittable box but does have his hitboxes. then on the 4th frame he gains hittable boxes.
his jab and strong have invincibility during startup basically but once his hitboxes come in so do his hittable boxes unlike fierce which has 2 frames where he simply cannot be hit but is able to hit others.
