FYI, if you need to resort to physical violence to outsmart and control a child then you shouldn’t be having kids.
There are ZERO scenarios where you can justify physical violence against a child without pointing out the parenting errors and poor judgement of the parent responsible for raising them.

No doubt thats just me, Im not telling peeps how to raise they kids that’s their kids not mine. When I have kids I will beat my kids not the same way i was beat but my kids will get beat from ages 5-10 if they step out of line.

I have friends who turned out fine and they were never hit. It might be a cultural thing. about 85% of my white friends were not beat or punished growing up. Then all my other friends, spanish, asian, pakistani, black most of them got beat.

You said ‘defeat’, as in force the opposition into submission to your superiority, no? What kind of precedent will that set for their living with you? It certainly does not prep them to succeed you. Disciplining a child and beating them into submission are two completely different things, and you will likely defeat them in life if you do so in a physical context…

You will not defeat your child if you wish for them to grow in any healthy manner, let alone succeed you in the future. You needn’t instill fear into a child to get them to understand right from wrong (they won’t understand it that way anyway; only the fear that comes with it).
