Wins, yes. Exposures, no. Maybe Champ.
why is Rei chan not going?
Traveling is expensive. Games aren’t that serious.
I kindna feel Canada will make a bigger splash than Japan in EVO, players like Nickcam, RDK and Quandizzle have been playing really well.
Canada, ha
hehe
Anyway, when are the japanese guys showing up at FGTV? That is happening right?
He actually said he wasn’t interested in Evo.
The Wednesday or Thursday before EVO was the advertised date
Rei-chan and Chou are on another level than Kusoru
Why do people keep trying to downplay Kusoru like he’s not great? He won the fucking ranbats that 80% of the top Marvel players in Japan compete in. And he’s beaten or done well against all the same players Chou and Rei-chan has played against. Kusoru won the exhibition ft5 against Rei-chan btw. Can’t speak on his record against Chou.
I think people are scares thats why, they forget how to respect good players. Hes good and has a decent chance.

I always saw it as people trying to hype up scenes like some Shonen anime. Basically taking Kusoru’s trolling of “I’m not even the best so what chance do you have” to heart.
I haven’t seen all of the ranbats but from about 3-4 that I did see, a lot of the top players were not there…also I don’t think all of the players that did attend, attended all the ranbats.
Kusoru lost that ft5 exhibition…but it was incredibly close so it doesn’t really matter.
Zak Bennett is our biggest hope from the UK. No other top players from the UK will be attending the marvel tournament at EVO unfortunately. From what Ive heard france still dislikes the game and none of their top players play it. Generally in Europe the game seems to be looked down upon which is a shame. We just had dreamhack on the weekend which featured SF4 and SFxT of all games with no marvel tournament in sight. All of the EVO qualifiers that have happened so far have been for SFIV.
UK really likes the game but the few tournament organisers we have, have no real passion for the game so they dont go out of their way to make sure the Marvel tournaments are a real success. For example at last years UK major (Super Versus Battle) Marvel was single elim after pools lol. Since then the community has definitely convinced TO’s how to properly run and promote marvel tourneys. WorstGiefEver and Logan Sama have helped our scene so much with the Armshouse stream and Shadowloo Qualifiers, but we still have along way to go before our scene reaches near to where the US scene is now. We are still debating on whether or not Double Elim should be a standard in UK tourneys lol.
I really wish we could get more of our local marvel players to EVO as I really do think we have some talent. Unfortunately as I said earlier, because of the way the game is looked down upon in Europe, getting any of our dedicated marvel players sponsored would be really hard. Ryan Hart has his Western Wolves team which is the only team properly sponsoring players to go to EVO, but you basically have to be a top SFIV player and friends with Ryan to be sponsored by them it seems.
Damn shame. I love watching you guys on stream.
I believe in Ryan Hart
2/3 Tourney… nuff said
Kusoru would have still blown it up. Yipes and Mihe were the only ones to face him and even look like they had an idea what to do. In addition to Kusoru never facing a bad matchup (strong zoning teams). Still wanted Kusoru v Chris G. Dear god if chris G would ave lost getting trolling by this guy. Oh man
Nah even when it came to 3/5 in winners and grand finals, two of our best players still couldn’t get him. Not a good sign.
Even the long sets Kusoru had us beat. J.Wong couldn’t even win a FT10 money match against him that weekend.
If the rest are going to make it anywhere near as tough as Kusoru did…we could very well have a Japanese player winning Evo. It’s gonna get interesting.
ScaryFactor part 2. Cho discovered a glitch.
"Time to put in work…"
I wonder if it’s even immediately visible. Be hilarious if he’s blowing people that don’t play in his circle up with it and people don’t even notice.
