Face and hair are ugly as hell. People are saying it since the beginning of times. I do love the new costume tho, it makes him look likes he’s very chill about fights which is what Ken is in the “lore”.

Makes Ryu and Ken’s contrast of environments pop even more. Ryu with the vagabond, sleeps in his gi look while Ken looks like he’s just bankrolled his way into the UFC. Fits their personas perfectly.

The critical fuck was makin his eyebrows dark brown and his hair bright yellow.
Outfit is good though, matches him well.
The whole aesthetic of this game is a “dude wouldn’t it be cool if…” conversation between two casual SF fanboys. Literally one step away from the MUGEN creators who want evil god ssj5 everyone, or people who say dumb shit like whatever the new SF iteration is needs to have grown up Mel with an Old Man Ryu.

There’s something to be said about the simple elegance of iconic designs as well. MK has changed the look of their characters over each game, but personally I still prefer the simple designs of the early mortal kombat characters over their recent appearances. I liked what sfIV did as far as the alt costumes go however. I think Ken’s default in V would be a really cool alt.
