Iron Man 3, now with more raps by Gwyneth Paltrow

He walks alone inside a pit of danger

The latest rumors say that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will be on Avengers 2… I’m seeing some replacements or some good new roles and the team getting to 8.

well that fuckin sucked

hulkbuster should have rocketpunched some random shits

That “rumour” has gone around for a bit. Might be true considering Marvel kept their rights when bargaining with Fox during X-Men

Min you I have also heard Ant-Man, Wasp, Man-Thing, and Black Panther rumours

^-- Giant-Size Man-Thing. If they’re going to make the joke, we should use it.

I still think there’s another suit in there that was the Hulkbuster suit, but I’m going by ToyBiz’s Iron Man line there. It was on the right when they showed all the suits sitting/flying motionless in air the first time late in the movie. I’ll have fun looking at them all in slo-mo, I guess.

I envision a mutant rights shit storm brewing between Disney v Fox on this matter.

I liked the movie. Had this 80’s feel to it. Almost James Bond ish with evil scientists and organizations. Shout outs to Roxxon Oil. And really in the end that 's a tribute to 70-80’s Iron Man where al he did was fight was AIM, Maggia, and Justin Hammer while showing off some fancy tech. Shout out to the Silver Centurion Even the main villain was not that well developed like an 80’s villain. Some rich douche with 80s fashion. Those early days he was the Da Vinci of Marvel but after a bit he was the character that explored more espionage stuff but also groups that wanted to misuse technology. Teaming up or fighting SHIELD when we could. Not that big on what happened with the Mandarin but eh it was a nice twist on people’s expectations.

Liked the whole idea about a AIM built by a Brain Trust. Lots of potential there for some cool threats like a Leader, Wizard, or Intelligencia.

I just realized that Killian never blew fire at Tony during the final battle. Did he forget he could do that?

Also, does extremis instantly grant you kung fu powers? Pepper potts pulling out ninja moves out of nowhere got a big eye roll from me.

I had to rationalize that with the idea Pepper probably getting some kind of basic combat training due to her position and being around Tony.

I actually thought that latchkey kid did a good job, that tongue thing he when asking too many questions was funny. His lil career is probably going to blow up from this movie.

I thought Killians blew fire because he was overheating and he figured out how to deal with it.

And Pepper probably has all sorts of self defense training and zumba stuff that she learned while being an executive like WS said.

After even his own #2 was looking at him strange when he did it the first time, he probably figured to save that as a desperation move. Throw in the fact that he pretty much owned Tony throughout the fight until the end maybe he didn’t think he needed it.

Well Marvel did become a powerhouse through the efforts of many jews…

$200k for some of the principle actors? Is that article accurate? I can’t imagine any agent would allow their client to act in a principle role for $200k.

So why did I feel like I was watching The Dark Knight Rises with Tony Stark?

Did it have pictures? You know I only read books with art on every page.

I don’t know why Marvel won’t give them more money. I think that $5million up front is fair considering the bonkers money that all these movies will probably make from here on out. Geez Disney stop trying to rebuild your Scrooge McDuck vault of gold coins!

While we’re at it…

YOGA YOGA YOGA YOGA YOGA YOGA!

Do you happen to know the specifics of the payment arrangement for the principle actors (not RDJ)? I know that sometimes actors will take less money upfront, but have lucrative backend % deals where they actually walk away from the whole thing pretty far ahead; this normally affords the studio with more financial flexibility to actually produce a better product while not being hamstringed because of bloated frontend money paid to the principles. Not saying Marvel Studios is destitute, but I can definitely see them paying most of their actors very little up front, spending more money on the actual production, then the actors (knowing that it’ll be a blockbuster) negotiate w/ their agents for a very sweet % of the backend.

After thinking about it I don’t understand why Tony was so focused on repairing his Mark 42 when he could’ve called another suit in.
