Evil rahsaan playing around with tron at the second half.
Seems like flame thrower is actually low invic.

Nullifies projectiles too, which is awesome for my team.

I am gonna have to get used to reverse DP for drill. Having trouble getting that out in the heat of these fast paced Marvel combos. At least I get free hypers off them now.
I’m liking the way she can do a bunch of different combos instead of just boring launcher xx air combo xx otg super (zz) Get creative.
Even if the drills don’t do as much combo damage, don’t they build all the more meter?
I watched one of the locals win a Play’N’Trade tournament last night with Dante/Dormammu/Tron. Flamethrower assist is sick for defense; it’s trivial to shield her tiny vulnerable area, and thus the flamethrower can be a very annoying interrupt on defense.
The more I watch of her, the more I think she’s one of the best giants in the game. She has:
I honestly think she’s the best giant in the game not named Sentinel. She’s even better than she was in MvC2. So fucking glad this character didn’t end up wasting away in the background with Teisel. :bgrin:
I’m loving Tron so far, she is much faster than I anticipated. And her flamethrower assist is ridiculous. I also didn’t know her standing H nullifies projectiles as well. Is there any non hyper projectiles it doesn’t beat?
I cannot express how much I love Tron in this game. Her beastly health and surprisingly super speed really shine during some of my matches. I got to work on landing her command grab more often…
and omg, boulder is the greatest move EVER. hits on the way up and has verrry nice range. it’s huge!
^ tron is ass, nice avatar tho

Tron at 2:08
damn i <3 tron in this game! and i love her flamethrower assist even more lol ^^
im having quite a har time when she is on point tho…
vs rushdown I think it’s just fine, just need to spend more time with her.
vs keepaway it’s a totaly different story. feels like I dont have much choises vs projectiles…or dorm’s black holes lol. I get to take so much chip on my way forward and when I get to him he just need to mash out a random super to get me back in the opposite corner…and vs projectiles i just gota jump lol, BB is soooo slow on startup so it’s quite useless outside of combos…
any got any good tips or can link some good vids with tron on point? ] anything is appreciated!
/gawd
I’ve been playing her on point and against chars like Arthur and Dorm. I try to fish out an unassisted projectile to standing H through, and cancel into drill covered by Doom rocks. It seems she is invincible to all non hyper Projs/beams during the majority of the animation (she seems to absorb the hit as well making calling an assist out far range quite a bit more safe). Her H lasts longer than black holes and 3 daggers from Arthur. However it does not outlast 3 daggers followed by drones. You will eat the drones. Thats what ive been relying on to get in at the moment, but I’m still fresh at this myself.
well im STILL waiting for the game to come in the mail. >_>
How is King Servebot for stopping the opponents supers?
example of what it could be used for in MVC2 at 4:38

Just curious if it can still be used for that. Imagine if you could stop lvl3 punish supers by canceling into KS. O_o
wondertonic: hmm didn’t know s.H it stopped projectiles…I’ll try that tomorrow on a gathering :] ill report if i find something nice. even tho u can make your life alot easier with covering assists it’s quite a gamble to just throw them out there…i like to use storms whirlwind assist and drill right after it. also stuffs lots of missiles.
grand: King servbot have quite long startup now, dont think it’'ll work the same way. Im gona try it out tho
I’m pretty sure big bot (or king servbot, whatever you wanna call him) doesn’t stop supers any more. And even if it did, startup is atrocious so there’s no real way I’d see it happening.
I’ve been trying to use King Kobun to punish or to trade/block projectiles, but so far it hasn’t worked for me. But then again my mind is still broken trying to adapt to Tron’s new random design so who knows.
How do you combo from her OTG cr. H? I tried hypers, drill, servbots, and normals but I couldn’t combo anything after cr. H on a slammed opponent, though maybe I have the timing wrong. Can’t even jump forward after the cr. H like I could with Felicia.
Hey, anyone have the guide?
Are all her drills really negative on block? : (
Yea they feel pretty punishable. Though like the guide says, a TK’d Drill is much safer. like -1 at best I best I believe. Good command/normal throw setup for those accustomed to punishing standing drill… that is until they’re used to it.
So I just noticed that cancelling a dash immediately with her command grab seems to always whiff (all versions) unless you do the motion slow enough so that the Down input of the HCB cancels the dash first. Is that an old marvel mechanic?
EDIT: bojack I play Tron with IM/Doom right now. Midscreen I tend to do :d:+:h:, :f:+:h:+Repulsor Assist, to pick them up. I’ve been trying to follow up with :qcf:+:l: but, repulsor seems to place them inconsistently.
They feel pretty safe actually, though I don’t know if it’s just my opponent not punishing.
On OTG cr. H, forward H for rock throw and a quick assist into super (both servebots work), or upward radar lock.
Been running mags/doom/x for awhile trying to decide a 3rd character. Think I’ve landed on Tron. That fire assist seems so insane. It’s like marvel 2. With mags just dash in cr.A cr.A call Tron. Covers you perfectly. They can’t come from above without getting hit and can’t apply pressure back because it’s invincible.
Now I have to hit the lab and learn this character.
