Iron Maiden: Tron Bonne 2.0 (Now With More Servbot!)

Online, it’s been like… a flat neutral 0. I’ve seen people mash 2a and still get Level 3’d after I decide to mix up the offense.

I dunno. Maybe stuff like shinkuu hadoken, proton cannon and chaotic flame are fast enough.

Anyone tried using chris’s guns or grenades and dorm’s dark hole as a kind of doom rocks replacement?

In training mode I am able to punish it with many characters crouching light into combo. It requires a little timing, but its definitely punishable. Of course if the opponent doesn’t pushblock they’ll get a free throw before you can do your level 3. Online is a different story though lol.

I couldn’t do anything but jump during TK’d drill into level 3 though. If you try to throw tron your :h: will come out instead of a throw. If a Tron attempts to reversal level 3 against another Tron trying this both throws will whiff lol. Not surprisingly, any level 3 with invincibility and a decent amount of active frames will hit Tron through her level 3, but reversaling in this game feels nowhere near as easy as SF4.

Is it punishable when they pushblock or does it push her back far enough?

Tigerkneed drill is done just by doing reversal srk and then an up input. To simplify it. Just do :b::qcb::ub:

yeah that tk rdp motion was so hard to get at first but it’s worth it to learn if you’ll be using bonne I’d say

After hearing you rave about her so much last night I tried her out today and she’s awesome. That assist is GDLK.

I’m going to have to fit her into the team.

I was about to drop her because I couldn’t get a hang of the character. Something didn’t feel right.

But then I saw the infinite on sent. Seems good. Will wait until that’s dissected because it seems worth it.

Well, I was trying to find out what her most damaging combo is without meter/assist and all I could come up with was just something similar to what was in the mission.

j.:m:,j.:m:,cr.:m:, st.:h: xx :h: drill (mash), cr.:m:, :f:+:m:, jump cancel, j.:m:, j.:h:, j.:s:, land, st.:h:, :s:, sjc, j.:m:, j.:m:, j.:h: xx :h: drill (mash)

If you get as many hits possible on both drills, it’s max damage at 528,200. No sentinel combo, but i think it’s fair trade off for her mobility and various tools.

To get the j.:m:, j.:h:, j.:s: string, to come out, j.:m: must come out as soon as you jump, in other words as you rise from the jump canceled :f:+:m:. After the launch with ground :s:, you need to let the opponent float a little so they can be hit by the rest of the combo. instead of the drill at the end it can always be replaced by an air exchange.

Probably also mentioned, but drills can be mashed. Just mash the same button as the one you use initially for the move. I can feel the carpal tunnel setting in.

and yeah to support what he said mashing helps the drill in damage and duration

oh I think someone was asking about advanced guard on the drill;
you get pushed out almost every time ground or air drill
however there was one time where I was in the air and I didn’t get pushed out I landed right in front

also I have to ask because I’m having a hard time with this but how are you guys getting in?
it seems so hard to get in without running an assist char to help with it

jump, airdash, j.H, repeat x) some covering assist is helping tho. i dont use standing drills outside of combos now, sometimes tkd drill…but 95% j.H :smiley:

@option.iv i’m going to assume the j.m j.m is character dependant I couldn’t do it on spidey but didn’t try for long
so I’m going to use godhate’s jump airdash j.h into gustav fire combos as my bnb on the shorter chars

also I never seem to get in this situatioin oddly enough but does j.h beat out projectiles like s.h does ?

You can actually do around 550K and deal more damage with out using her drill more than once. I’ll try posting the combo when I get home, but what you have looks good :slight_smile:

Well, just saw that Dante infinite on Tron…wtf.

Anyways, for the heavy drill to get all 15 hits, it just needs to be mashed 8 times including the first button to engage the move.

Figure this’ll help save your fingers, as my ring finger is starting to go numb.

Also for those TKDs, does the frame data include the falling animation as well? If not I would think that TKD aren’t as safe as presumed.

Also anyone know the significance of the color of the block animation? Striking a blocking opponent with drill, f.:m:, and cr.:m:, the shield/block animation is red.

edit: ah nevermind, I figured it out, basically red signifies projectiles or disjointed hitbox type of move.

Whenever you use the beacon bomb it looks like the serve bots are suckin’ on some titties. (when used on a female character)
