Di,
cant get s.m to connect after j.h on sentential mid screen
Di,
Jump h is GDLIKE.
^ Just don’t try to land on the opponent with anything besides the edge of her fists, tron can get launched easily, especially considering her high-arcing jump.
Man tron has some of the best hit-confirms in the freaking game, cr.light and st.medium give you tons of time to think of what you’re going to do next.
I just have to say that Tron is definitely going to remain point on whatever team I decide to use. Using her as a battery is just a really good idea. She can build pretty much two bars in one combo.
Also, I found out that because Lunch Rush has such a long animation, I like to put Power Up Hyper characters (i.e. Hsien Ko, Zero, Arthur) on the #2 spot. If you THC/DHC right when Lunch Rush hits, there’s plenty time to swap back to Tron or the third character back in safely and even do a combo to add damage to the lunch rush and gain meter.
This is actually a good thread. I wouldn’t like to see high level play deteriorate into both people putting Tron as 3rd character.
Teleport characters will go behind it. Small characters can crouch under it.
Tron’s assist isn’t truly invincible, there’s a hitbox somewhere in there. I know because if I call it into a beam super, she gets hit. Someone experiment in training mode. lol
Haggar’s Lariat assist beats it pretty clean. He’s just more invulnerable.
I also see her get hit by screen spam supers, too.
Tron’s Beta assist is LOW INVULNERABLE but the flame absorbs 5 hits so most stuff won’t hit it plus if it trades and you’re in the air they still get the free launch.
Just bait the assist and punish accordingly. Classic dash forward then back dash then when Tron pops out throw out a super or something to damage Tron. Honestly with invincible assist like that, thats all you can really can do and make them respect that you can punish for spamming the assist button too much.
Just like hyper armor Hsien-ko assist(equally annoying) you have to respect it and bait it out according and go for the punish when you get the chance and bait it out successfully.
Some characters can’t do a very good job of punishing assists and thats just the way it goes. Something to think about when structuring your team, otherwise you’ll have endless trouble against Haggar/Hsien-ko/Tron assists.
Yeah I posted that shit in the Hsien-Ko Thread last week. I like to punish cold tag outs with QCF M, Lunch Rush, DHC Dark Armour, and tag in Dormammu. Then I walk up, wait for the hyper to finish and do his BnB. Does a shit ton of damage and leaves me in my optimal mid-game position. Its an awesome setup and is easy to pull off.
Also, I watched the most recent episode of Cross Counter with Clakey D, and he showed off the new team he’s been working on and a sick double relaunch combo with Tron. After that i went to the lab with my team and spent an hour working out a combo off of j.H that does 972,000 off of two bars. Tron is ridiculous, and Clakey D is GDLK.
hey, i got a tron combo question here, im rockin tron/magneto/sentinel btw…
anyway, after i start comboing and coming to the part where i: f+M sj j.M j.M j.H (land) f+M sj (to now get the j.H j.S) it always resets the char so i whiff the j.H more often then when i do hit the j.H (after the 2nd f+M) when i should be able to get it…
does anyone know what im doing wrong? should i be faster with anything or maybe delay anything? i did the j.H as fast as i could, didnt get to much better results so i started beeing fast with the first j.M aswell and still not getting it, so annoying:
:f:. SJ j.
j.
j.:h: (land) :f:.
SJ (whiffs j.:h:…)
On some chars, it’s definitely harder to connect the j.H after the second f+M. Noteably Viewtiful Joe. Try to do all the moves as soon as possible before you get to the f+M to get them as high as possible so the j.H doesn’t whiff on some characters. Basically double tap the f+M’s, the first j.M, and the j.H after the second j+M.
And for f+M it’s just jump cancellable, not super jump cancellable, so you can just hold up-forward afterwards.
yea i meant jump cancel… actually tryed delaying the 2nd f+M abit so the opponent gets higher up and works alot better now… so damn tired now tho, gonna try it again tommorow so i know for sure… she got some nice comboz :nunchuck:
Has anyone found a use for The Servbot Launcher? The Servbots that fall down block the opponent, but I haven’t used it nearly as much as the Drill/Beacon Bomb.
Also, yeah, Lunch Rush is great for DHC’ing into other Hypers. Amen to the DHC into Hsien-Ko’s Dark Force.
It’s good for limiting the movement of dudes that are coming in after you killed someone on the team.
I dunno if anyone posted this, but after just about any bnb where the opponent is on the ground after a j.S, you can do OTG 2C 6C and then combo into snapback from that (after the rock hits). This is good if the opponent tags in a character, so you can get 500K or so on one character, and then snapback in the other one at the end of the combo. While it’s not something to use every match, I think it’s better than just 2AB5C snapback or something like that.
I’m sorry guys, I don’t play Tron, but play against a really good tron, I think that she’s too good, (with the right assists, so far i’ve seen:SHulk slide, running hit, trish projectile, trap, morrigan projectile), basically, it seems that once she’s on the screen i auto loose, her lariat seems to be just like zangiefs but wiith less hurtbox, it seems pretty spammable, and you can hitconfirm from it into a 60%+ combo, and even when NOT on screen, his high pressure rushdown teams all make things look easy with gustaf fire backing them up. Fair enough, i may not know the matchup too well. I play as wesker/x23/storm.
I don’t really see any weakness in tron when going against me. If i’m not seeing something obvious then please tell me.
Chris’s QCF H beats it I believe haven’t fully tested but I hit her with it once as an assist punish.
Multi hit normals have a better chance of beating it if they don’t trade, especially Haggar’s lariat. And of course, Hypers can blow through it.
Random full screen beam super.
The thing about Tron’s j.H is that it’s active for the entirety of the time she’s in the air from the second she starts it, if she jumps at you and does it without an assist holding you in block stun, just super on reaction (if you have the appropriate super) and it’ll beat her up. Her drill is not safe on block, if she tries to jump over you and do j.H, and the appropriate angle you can hit the middle of her body with a launcher. That said, with the appropriate assist, she is mad beastly and can get away with a lot of stuff.
Cross it up.
