Iron Maiden: Tron Bonne 2.0 (Now With More Servbot!)

Well, this is just based off the combos I found earlier and incorporated Tron’s :d:+:h: as the main OTG with combo extending assist (i.e. Chun legs, Haggar Lariat, etc.). Tron has a perfectly fine OTG, it would feel wrong for me to sacrifice an assist type for OTG.

Assists Used: Haggar Lariat and Doom Molecular Shield (at least 1 needs to be an “extender” type.

Requirements: No meter requirement as the main combo by itself builds 2 whole bars of meter.
Note: In order to maximize damage and convert to a true 100% combo, 1 meter is needed and at least level 1 x-factor. Can be done anywhere.

j.:h:, st.:l:, cr.:m:, st.:h: xx :h: Drill (mash), cr.:m:, :f:+:m:, jump cancel, j.:m:, j.:m:, j.:h:, land, :f:+:m:, jump cancel, j.:h:, j.:s:, land, st.:h:, st.:s:, sjc, j.:h:, j.:s:, land, ***:df:+:h:+ Haggar Assist (insert your “extend” assist here), :l: Beacon Bomb xx Servbot Surprise (King Kobun), st.:h: xx Lunch Time Rush

Damage: 909,100 (test on Sentinel)

*** depending on position might need to include forward wavedash.

X-Factor Extension:

same combo as above, continue with:
xfc, Doom Assist (any available assist to maximize damage) IAD, j.:h:, st.:l:, cr.:m:, st.:h: xx Lunch Rush.

Damage: 1,651,900 (tested on sentinel with lvl 1 xfc)

Doom Assist can be replaced with another assist or can be swapped with Haggar. The opponent is stuck in the lunch rush, so activate xfc when the opponent is nearing the apex of the launch from the first lunch rush.

I know this is overkill, but it seems viable to me since the combo can be started with a j.:h: and has minimal requirements. I would think this to be useful if tron is up against Dante or Sentinel as losing one of them is a big blow to any team.

Now this combo should work for everyone, it was also tested on Amaterasu and Zero. The only thing that could be a problem is that some characters are wide (i.e. Tron Bonne) and the st.:h: will make the st,:s: launcher whiff so the st.:h: will just have to be skipped for those certain chars.

If Haggar or similar assist is present on the team, I would highly suggest the inital combo as a sort of team specific bnb as there’s no meter requirement.

I don’t know if this was pointed out yet but i found that tron’s st.H can cancel out projectiles.

Yeh I noticed this too but I don’t think it’s a viable option against projectiles because you can easily get hit by another before you even recover. Maybe it would help canceling into drill but even that has some bad recovery, seriously Tron has alot of unsafe moves lol.

couldnt you theoretically cancel the s.H into a drill after negating a projectile?
or the capture(qcf+A), for that matter?

Thanks for sharing, it was really helpful. The first combo you do took me awhile to figure out. I believe it is:

j:h: :m: :f::m: j:m: :m: :h: land :m: :f::m: j:m: :h: :s: land (pause) :s: (and so on…)

The part that was confusing me was the air :s: after the second gustaff flame because more often than not it was whiffing. I think you have to delay the second :m: :f::m: because if you do it to early the air :s: seems to whiff. Hope this helps someone!

EDIT: After messing around some more, if found myself landing it more the earlier i do the second :m: :f::m:

welp

Only if they’re being predictable! Then you might be able to trade and get in.

My tron is prolly the worst part of my team and I haven’t been keeping up with her metagame development, so what effective ways does tron have for getting in, iad H/M is all I really see, that Clakey D guy, although really good was pretty much only using iad H so what else is there?

Almost positive the answer is somewhere else but my search capabilities are the equivalent to a small retarded child.

Her jumping H cancels them too, I spent some time with different projectiles in training after finding this out by accident in a match and though she can’t seem to cancel arthur’s projectiles, it’s actually godly at getting in on some characters. (deadpool since it’ll blow right through pineapple surprise and can go right though his jumping gun fire if done properly.) It’s important to note that her lower robot body seems vulnerable though, like a sentinel spit beam will be cancelled if it hits your upper bit but will tag you if you’re too high.

So I’ve started ending pressure strings in 6M when I’m not pushed away with AG. Your options out of a blocked 6M to jump cancel are pretty great. A lot of times you can easily IAD j.H and get really fast crossup if you delay the j.H a touch. And as Renegade stated j.M will instant overhead sentinel and lead to a combo if you hit confirm. Yesterday I beat a pretty good sentinel player by cornering him with Tron and starting up a relentless pressure game before he could go for an X-factor comeback. I think she’s a fairly good anti-sentinel character when used correctly.

Also, don’t know if this any use, but you can super jump cancel flame into special moves. I didn’t figure out anything useful with this but I only messed with it for 15 minutes or so.

Also I figured out a pretty decent throw combo when your near corners. You need 2 assists that work with tron’s otg though (I use Dorm’s black hole and Hsien-Ko’s pendulum). Its something like Throw, dash, c.H, Assist 1 + 6H, s.H, S, jc, j.M, j.M, j.H, j.S, land, Assist 2, c.H, 236 L, King Kobun, s.H, Lunch Rush. If I recall it does around 750k.

That’s pretty much what I use except a little different. I do throw> dash> call assist 1>2H>j.HS>HS>j.MMHS>call assist 2 >2H>H>lunch rush>spencer DHC

How do you not get rushed down with Tron? I have problems getting people off me like Morrigan and others. Her moves are kinda slow and get beat out. Sometimes fire works for AA, and I’m thinking maybe nj. M or back jump M if they come from the air. What do you guys do?

This a really nice combo. putting C->king kobun->C->servbot rush after the first capture nets like 950k.

I don’t really have a problem getting rushed down too much, maybe it’s because i’m always jumping everywhere doing jump C.

WHOWHOWHOWHOW!

Seriously, most characters in the game have to seriously respect that move. if you get tagged, it’s bye bye 700k.

The characters that give me a hard time are the short characters that duck under it easily. Morrigan, Wolverine, whatever.

Unfortunately, jump C beats morrigans fireballs, and I just tag out and use tron’s assist on wolverine.

Rushdown is really her biggest weakness, since she doesn’t really have a mashy 2A or reversal to get out with and her supers aren’t well suited to getting out of pressure. Honestly my answer was taking Haggar lariat assist. Works wonders, truly.

I like the j.H>S relaunch part of it, I haven’t seen that done before. Unfortunately, I’m not sure this combo is very match practical outside of clear punishes given that it requires a lightning fast hitconfirm into S from j.H. Jumping in with j.H and throwing the S right afterwards on block is a great way to die, not everyone is as lucky as Dante with cancels. I’d think that M is the standard hitconfirm for j.H right now, I believe ClakeyD went so far as to use L, especially since it lets you chain to 6M on block for that get out of jail free card that comes with free chip and more pressure.

Here’s something cool: Lunch Rush X-Factored into another one works.

Yeah, Justin and Floe didn’t do it but you can X factor right as the first lunch rush hits and have time to j.S>H>lunch rush or some other short combo into the 2nd lunch rush to tack on some extra damage. Since you’re in X factor, you can sometimes avoid the need for the second super at all since a few heavy hits go a long way. God, now whenever I do this online people will tell me stop copying Justin when that trick has actually been floating around since release. Now I know how all the wolverine players must feel. :’<

The combo works perfectly well from a stand M after the intial J.H, I just think it’ll get iffy after the 2nd capture gun.

It also works midscreen.

If you do Stand M, you can Chain to flamethrower and jump cancel (even perhaps TK Drill) for safety.

I only had 10 seconds to work with and was going for max damage.

Yeah re: servbot XFC’s have been around since Day one. The fun thing is Servbot DHC"s. Stuff like Lunch Rush immediate Magnetic Shockwave DHC midscreen.
THe shockwave bounces into servbots and magneto has enough time to combo afterwards.

Sorry to post so much today. I was just playing around with stuff when I realized exactly how kara-able Tron’s H and j.H are. They can be cancelled into any available special before the move is actually active or if it whiffs, meaning you can do anything from jump back j.H whiff cancelled into drill to fake someone out to a ground blockstring into a kara cancelled H into lvl 3 hyper grab. If you do say 2L>2M>5H, you can force a pretty dirty mixup that forces them to guess between whether or not you’ll kara into 623L to reset pressure, lvl 3 command grab, or 236M or H in case they’re just holding assist to catch the switching in character for a free combo.

One last thing, Renegade inspired me to look into optimal meterless combos and I found a solid one that does 664k from j.H>M starter, 701k from j.H>S starter and a respectable though unreasonable 729k from a j.H>HS starter. It does use both my team’s assists rather than just one, however.

I might makes vids of these two things tomorrow, but it’s really late over here at the moment. ;_;

I found answers to my own problem getting rushed down today. If I get caught in pressure situations I can push block. If I think they’ll jump or air dash at me I can f. M, or nj. M which is pretty good. Her f. H rock is pretty good too, after a push block. It controls a lot of space in front of her. Neutral jump M, H, or S is all really good, she has good air priority. One thing I couldn’t find an answer too was Doom’s dives. They were doing dives xx fly H or something and it was working really well cuz his divekick is hard to beat. Does anybody know ways to beat it? All I could do was pushblock after a dive.

So what characters do Tron have trouble with? What about characters she has an easy time with?

Anyone can give any advice on j. M>j. S instant overhead?

Sometimes I can connect the j.S and sometimes it’s blocked. is it situational/positional/whatever?
