Yeah I wanna see these beeftapes man…

yo im tryin to MAKE A MOVIE next year. shit, fuck that, IN WILSON OUT: DA TRILOGY

Asian Chick’s Awesome Hand NinjaVideo

Will there be…GAMEDAY!!!

I know I bitched about spectator fee complainers, but as far as the tournament goes I think there’s way too much money on the line. SoCal doesn’t have much to do with it, since people would be paying the same amount to enter regardless of whether or not SoCal decided to come up or not. I did the numbers too and came up with close to what Jack/Steve got.

I think it’d make more sense to give the regional winners the money from the qualifiers (because they basically won a mini tournament to get the spot anyway) and they can use that money to pay their 15 or whatever each to enter the actual 5v5 if they choose (or use it for tacos or something). Also it’d mean each team is putting in an equal amount for the 5v5 (which is how it should be, IMO) SoCal included.

30% of that would be $157.5 for venue + spectator fees (should be at least 100 there I’d think)… and $367.50 for winners. Team tourneys usually pay out more than that but this is a 5v5 and there are only 7 teams, so what can you expect.

Anyway it’s just a suggestion.

Edit: OR do the same as above but since the qualifying players are getting the quals entry fees, bump the actual 5v5 entry fee to 20 per person.

OR, reimburse the qualified teams their quals entry fees back, this would lessen the pot 50 bucks each team, making it much more reasonable for this type of tournament. By Jack/Steve’s numbers, this’d make the pot ~1225 instead of ~1575 (a $857.50 payout to winners).

Not trying to criticize the tournament… I’m just offering suggestions because people seem unhappy with the amount of both money at stake as well as venue/service/whatever money.

 ^ I support Harvey Dent.

Well all Norcal has to do is win and I hope it’s the Eastbay team
Good luck everyone

Gimme da goad!

I think that’s a pretty good idea. Give the regional team the money from the regional team qualifiers and then have a separate (higher, like 150 per team) entry going to the winners of the event. Also since some regions raised more money than others this will make it even.

I still think 10 dollars for spectators is nuts considering it’s a comic book shop, but I am definitely in the minority on this so I’m happy to drop it.

Team Socal gonna take this easy

 I should practice up just in case the east bay team needs to use their reserve of a reserve of a reserve :rofl::rofl::rofl:

new update.

team east bay subs:
mago
YHC mochi
tokido
kindevu

that is all.

What about having an HDR tourney on Xbox and PS3 as well since there was no Fuddruckers tourney in concord planned any time soon yet?

Yeah theres nor cal reg but that isn’t happening for another 2 months from now.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say there is a zero percent chance for any HDR at this event. Only the 5v5 matches will be played here and maybe some money matches, I don’t even know if there’s going to be any casuals at all.

Everyone be there tomorrow at 12PM SHARP! We have a ton of matches to run so we need to get started ASAP!

Format is one match, Pokemon style. That means, winner stays.

Get hyped >___< so much

So, does that mean it’s not round robin?

Crizzle challenged me to a money match tomorrow. If there are going to be money matches, will it be before or after the tourney?

Yo, how is anybody gonna be scared of a 3-man Socal team?
I like East Bay over Team Socal, let alone West and South Bay (even though my heart is in the 510, fuck all y’all). Hopefully there’s a special out-of-town consolation prize like a family-sized bag of Sour Skittles or something, otherwise Socal ain’t gonna be sticking around long if the format is “winner stays”.
This ain’t September 2008, and it’s about to be a CvS2-era bloodbath in here tomorrow, so hopefully there’s something left of Team Socal to at least get a podcast or a Machinima episode out of it or something.
At least whenever socal gets a mudhole stomped in them you can continue on with real 5v5 matches instead of trying to include out of town kiddies in big boy matches

(This shit talk was dedicated to grimmz for trying to pop it off, Ramin for doing so, and to Geoff, aka most beautiful man alive. I want beef tapes please)
