Oh also,

10$ for spectators?

For reals?

he means casual play

so I dont needa bring a setup? and 10$ does seem excessive… Im willing to go and all and bring my set ups for casuals but for 10$…THATS a meal at wingstop.

So,this is my first time really looking at the teams and reading this…I guess I been delusional/out of the loop lately. So, how much is actually up for grabs and where did the SoCal thing come from ?Are they playing for $$ too or just exhibition style stuff? If it’s $$, I don’t understand how a team from like 300 miles away is even in the loop for a regional tournament with round robin 685486904866490 hour qualifiers. And is that 30% venue fee for real? It’s at a comic book store or something like that right?? Am I missing somethin?Maybe it all sounds so strange because I haven’t gotten any sleep… but yea… lot of stuff doesn’t make sense to me.

no one knows exactly how much is up for grabs but probably will be announced at the tourney, Socal team (no idea about qualifier funds) has put money down just like we all did and were invited because they invited norcal to specialists. 30% is foreal. I guess 30% is reasonable since every tourney always has been close to 10$ entry, with always 3-4 $ going to venue.

$10 for spectators, not casual play. The tournament will start at 12PM and we need all the space we can get to run it smoothly. If you want to come and watch, thats fine but there is a spectator fee. If you don’t want to pay that, thats fine too, there will be a live stream.

The 30% covers the venue fee for Shadowbrooke and the numerous other venues we threw qualifiers at not to mention other costs that go into running this.

SoCal puts in their share for the team plus extra to make up the difference for the qualifiers.

My gripe with the SoCal thing isn’t the money as much as the teams… I mean…if I could make a team I would take Ryan,Vance,Ricki Nelson,Popo,LPN,Fuller,…but I can’t make my own team…I gotta fuck with the people that qualified in this region and their captain…so that’s kinda fucked already. The 30% seemed surreal only because if the prize is like…1300 or 1400…that’s like…300 …400…some shit like that…I don’t know what really went into qualifiers…but our was setting up some computers we already owned at a comic book shop and charging 3-4 bucks for THAT already…so,another not make sensy thing in my world…10 bucks to watch…I can only understand for the sake of keeping the space available…but I thought the event was to bring Nor Cal together…it’s at a comic book shop…not a bar like KS2 was,or a hotel like NCR…I don’t want anybodys GF to have to fork over 10 bucks to watch me for 13 minutes at a comic book shop…it just kind of seems rather inflated altogether. But whatevs… I got the answers I needed/now I know the story.Thanks.:razzy::tup::razzy:

i agree with larry, 10$ is kinda pushin it for spectators, did socal do qualifiers? or they just auto picked everyone? regardless norcal will come together that day…to kill whats left of socal :]

people have faith in your teams. in all honesty why are you guys so scared of the socal team? the only people who worry are people who suck. man the fuck up or dont play.

i support this guy ^

Playing is EASY and last I checked …I don’t suck and I’m not worried about Larry. But it sure would have been dope as fuck to have made my own team of 4 other people that I think are sick/solid enough to come through in the clutch just in case I get hit by something like…hmmmm… a random desperation demon? And take WHATEVER money is left after 30% event fee.Me manning up is prolly asking the questions that I’m sure many of us are thinking about the event. I didn’t see anyone else ask them…but then again I didn’t check the whole thread…so maybe someone asked this shit earlier and got shut down the same way.Sure wasn’t me though… and shit I wanna know!smileOther question, does the comic book place open early for casuals or anything? And do we have to pay 10 bucks to come early to play if it does “if” we are on a team already?

Yesss let the beef start this is when we play the best

wait i thought this was like 75$ per team? 1300 or 1400$? where is this coming from? it’s 15$ each participant right?

also, is it just one match? or 2/3 ??? i would think that would take way too much time but what do i know…?

oh yeah and 10$ to watch is…overkill.

Each team only has like $150 bucks total. dunno where 1400 is coming from!!

my apology to larry that im not sick/solid enough to come through in the clutch
i’ll get hit by ranom demon

Well everyone seems to be worried about the money.so let’s tell how much money is really up for grabs.I tried out for the team to level up.but if we only gonna b playing for chump chaange let’s up the anti or sumn or setup some money matches.or is this suposd to b a fun event for bragging rights? If so that’s koo too

How can you ask for this to be held at a hotel or at the bar again (which also didn’t have space), and at the same time complain about the $10 entry fee? Yes $10 is a lot just to watch… but it’s been explained why it’s $10 and what that money is going towards. If you want to support the community, you should understand that the $10 is going to benefit that cause. If not, or if you’re stingy as fuck, or just plain broke at the moment, watch the stream. It’s like people wanting to help causes like Haiti and shit: “what can I do to help?” “uhh donate money” … “but I don’t want to do that”… Funding is required to run these events.

And crying about SoCal coming up? Come the fuck on.

Edit:

Also, what happened to the beef tapes!? ;___;
