BUMP
Nothin? No experience with RPGs on the iPhone up in this bitch? cmon yall…
Most RPG’s on the iphone are Krpg’s. Then again I don,t know the definition of a Jrpg. I’ll give you some good RPG’s in general though:
Zenonia
Hybrid
Chronicles of Inotia II
Seed 1 (free)
Also, bunch of games dropped in price today:
Mass Effect Galaxy for $0.99
^^
Awesome… Have you played any of those? Do you recommend any? JRPG = Turn based RPG, like OG Final Fantasy or DQ.
I’ve played the first 3. I’ve been so damn busy with Inotia 2 that I haven’t gotten a chance to try seed. Also I,m a little pissed off that I paid for it on release day and 2 days later they decide to make it free but you have to pay for DLC which means I paid for the game and still have to pay for DLC. Oh well.
But no I haven’t played any turn based ones.
Thanks Valaris, TETRIS
*Ace Combat Xi *has received an update to version 1.1.0 a few days back. New planes and 3 new missions have been added. The game is now sporting some of its’ PSP predecessor’s limitations…or shall I say, mission requirements. There’s a bit more difficult than the first run-in. No interface changes or anything drastic. Same great taste, but with more content. You will have to beat Mission 5 again to access the final 3.
Yo yo yo, anyone playing “Words with Friends”?
It’s neat little Scrabble game that’s played on your own pace. Can’t play a word right now? That’s fine, come back in an hour and play the word then. It even has a little in-game chat room so you can converse or talk shit (for fun) to the other guy; “YO SHIT’S WEAK SON!!!”
Anyway, if anyone is playing the game, hit me up for a game, “sprsxy”. Lol.
I’m no slouch at fps, but geeze…when I play Nova online…scrub ahoy. Wtf. I can’t snipe for shit in this game either.
Just got a Touch.
Word Ace is the best free game ever.
Besides Space Deadbeef and Infinity Gene, are there any other shmups worth getting?
Liking Baseball Superstars 10, but I’m a bit pissed that some special players are available from the start, after spending so much time in homerun mode to get them in '09.
For $0.99, Scene it movies is a damn awesome game.
Ace Combat Xi is one of the best flight games on the system. Namco should at least give us ten more missions on this bad boy and attempt to create a multiplayer to go with this simulator.
not sure if you found this out yet, but the other refers to your jailbroken apps as well as save files, ringtones, and all that other junk.
thanks for the info on all the games.
Hey guys, can anyone recommend me the best Foreign Language translator app??
I got Future-Wife an iPod Touch for Christmas '08. This past saturday, we both got iPhones.
Something people that have made the transition from one to the other should know:
I’m told that purchasing games and even songs with the iPhone will result in an additional tax showing up on your wireless bill. If you hadn’t noticed, you’ll incur no tax when purchasing from iTunes or the App store on your iPod Touch. See where I’m going with this? Music and apps can be synched from iTunes once they’ve been transferred to your computer.

If this has already been covered in this thread…meh. I felt clever.
If you erase all the data on your iPhone can you download games you’ve paid for again without paying for them twice?
Yes. The game remains “purchased” in your account. If you try to redownload a game you already purchased, a pop up will come up saying “You have already purchased this game, press OK to download it again for free”.
Anyone played Duke Nukem? Anyone else horribly disappointed that one of their all time favourite games is unplayable due to its shitty controls?
Thanks.
Off-topic question: From time to time when I try to open an app it will close right away. To fix this problem I usually install some random app and it will allow me to open all other apps without having them shut down after 2 seconds.
I read somewhere to fix this problem you need to format your iPhone?
So…
You’d think the iPhone would be a great platform for a turn-based RPG, right? Touch where you want your character to go, tap menus and targets, etc.
Yet I’ve only found two turn-based RPGs on it: Elven Chronicles, which kinda blows, and Vay, which is quite good. Is this it?
Dr. B gets seventeen turns for every one of yours.
