iPhone/iPod Touch gaming

iPhone has some great games, and much thanks to Valaris for highlighting them.

Dr. B’s custom bPhone also has great games, but human minds cannot comprehend their nature. Rest assured, that burning in your various lobes IS fun. Too much.

You’re very welcome.

By the way, if you like the Defend your castle type games, gameloft just released Bailout Wars which is defending the white house from attacking bankers and Ceo’s. for $0.99 it’s fucking great.

I bought Zenonia, played it for a few hours, really started liking it. Then they released an update where the d-pad takes up like, a quater of the screen… Never played it since…

Weirdly enough, the size increase was asked by players.

i had the same problem with zenonia

maybe its bc i don’t have small asian hands, but a lot of iphone games give me problems since my hand is covering too much and i can’t see the screen

i would play zenonia on another system if it was released, but i can’t play no 30 hour game on the iphone.

i did a colon cleanse yesterday so i went back to play family guy on iphone again. its not that bad. the megaman rip off levels are pretty fun. not worth $4.99 though. under the minigames there’s new levels. some have 3, some have up to 8

I have tiny tiny hands so Zenonia still works great for me.

From what I’ve read of the Family Guy Game, it would’ve been perfect at the $2.99 price point.

there’s a spot for 3 more mini games which sound interesting, who knows if it will ever come though.

2 games worth checking out:

Stick Fu: Zombieville with Xiao Xiao action. Only $0.99

Ninja Towder Defense: A pretty good tower defense for only $0.99

Thank you Valaris!

This thread is fantastic, I just got a 32GB Ipod Touch from my lady for bday. Love the hell out of it, dungeon hunter is bad ass.

Time for an update!
Sorry for the delay:
Ninja TD: is a great tower defense. The problem with most TD’s is they have a difficulty dealing with …well difficulty. This one starts off easy and builds up to a very hard level. Anyway, it’s a great game and it’s only $0.99

Bailout Wars: Personally my favourite Defend your castle type game. My only complaint is there’s no way to get “health” back. Again, for $0.99 it’s well worth it.

Doom Classic: A classic of FPS genre. I haven’t tried it, chances are I’ll wait till it drops from it’s current price of $6.99

Command and Conquer Red Alert: Robocalypse did a good job of an RTS on iphone, this one apparently is even better. Current price: $9.99

Robocalypse: Speaking of which, a really great and quirky rts on sale for only $0.99

Family Guy Uncensored: On sale from $4.99 to $2.99

Earthworm Jim: Yup, the original game now for Iphone for $4.99

Bloons Tower Defense: A good Tower defense game, especially if you were addicted to Bloons like myself. $0.99

Nick Chase: I highly recommend this one. It’s a detective story that mixes a whole bunch of puzzles. It’s not a long game but for $0.99 it’s a steal. Great game.

It is a bit too easy, especially after you start getting life drain items. But nevertheless, it’s one of my favourite games on the device. I can’t wait for a sequel or something along the same lines.

Bunch of updates!:

Ravensword ($6.99): Awesome and deep Morrowind-like RPG.

Star Wars Trench Run: ($4.99) A fun accelerometer controlled Space battle. Fun game but I don’t know if everyone wll find it as enjoyable as I did at that price.

Chuck Norris Bring On the Pain ($0.99) Some beat em up I haven’t tried yet.

Bunch of price drops from Septimus’ company, all Konami games now $0.99
Power Pros Touch
Krazy Kart Racing
Silent Scope
MGS Touch
DDR
Silent Hill

Liking Ace Combat Xi so far. This should gave been an multiplayer title and why would they make you pay for new ships with real money? Now to play Normal with Top Gun music.

Didn’t know if you had these already so I thought I’d add some reviews and contribute…

Beat it - No, it’s not the Micheal Jackson experience where you chase little kids around Neverland Ranch, it’s a game that you have to listen to beats and then make them in a time limit…very hard to catch on to, but it grows on you…

Tomena Sanner - Very addictive reaction game that you basically hit the screen to either dance or miss and fall on your ass and get laughed it…it’s basically Canabalt with DDR minus the arrows…

Oh yeah, V did you know Capcom is making a Phoenix Wright is coming to Iphone too…

That shit made my day when I learned about it.

You can try out Song Summoner. It was just recently released.

It’s a similar tRPG like FFT and Tactics Ogre. But it’s main selling point, IMO, is that you create your troops/troopers using the music you have uploaded on your phone. Also, you don’t have to play the game all the time to beef up your troopers, just listen to the music you used to create them, and the game keeps track of them via “play points”

Squeenix said that the game offers at least 30 hours, but at an insane price of $9.99. q_q.

I don’t really trust Square enix games on Iphone. They have a pretty bad track record of rushing games out and then forgetting about them so bugs never get fixed.

I’m actually going to finish it this time. I hope they keep everything in with a $5 price tag.

Btw, Hook Champ is the best iPhone/iTouch game there is.

Well so far Song Summoner is doing okay. No bugs yet as far as I know.

Crystal Defenders and Vanguard weren’t too bad. Sliding Heroes is just too awkward to play, bleh. Hills and Rivers, it’s pretty fast paced but quite short. Storyline seems so cliche also.

My favorites so far though would be from GAMEVIL. Most of their iPhone games have been really fun. Currently working stacking my Run in Baseball 2010, and I’ll have all 999 stats.
