Fund went up to $135. Monitor arrived all nice and shiny, and as the remainder came out of my pocket I’ll wait until the fund is up to $150 before either raising money for something else or just getting rid of the equipment fund idea and just saving up my own money for a PS3. Tourney entry would remain $3, but all of it would go back to the winners.
So its been kind of a shitty night, for reasons that i will share with those of you who are close enough friends with me to be given details. That being said… you know what makes me feel a little better?

Did i talk trash about sc4? I don’t even remember. I doubt it. I wasn’t even that great at that game. I don’t think we played until I stopped playing that game anyway. Did I MM in that game, really??? It was a long time ago. My old man brain can’t remember what happened last week, let alone what happened 2-3 years ago. Who cares about ufgt. I go to tournaments every week and I’d rather save the money to drive to Milwaukee or Chicago anyway. Why are you stealin my character in HDR BTW???
Come to Rob’s tournament in August, I’ll be there. We can play the latest watered down game by Capcom. If you wanna stay here overnight I might be able to accomidate. Just let me know. Should be a good time.
Doubt I will. I gotta pick and choose my travels pretty carefully anymore since I work 6-7 days a week.
And yes, you talked trash online in SC4 to the Madison guys around the time of regionals, and I stepped in and said something. Then you wanted to money match me $50 and said you were gonna qualify in Madison. We never had time for the epic FT5 or 10 or whatever, so we did FT3 for $5 and I won Kilik v Amy. As far as tourneys, I beat you in two Madison weeklies, one at Ten Pin and one at Happy Wok.
And I played Cammy in ST before Sirlin stuck his dick in it. Used to just main Dee Jay and Claw a few years back, then I switched to main her and use Claw only when someone picks Honda.
Should have a pretty good turnout for this Tuesday’s DBQ MVC3 weekly. All 6 Dubuque players + MysticBill. Are any of the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids players thinking about joining up this week?
So, any MK nerds out there? I just picked it up this past week and am really diggin it. Got a couple buddies who played it at the last monthly who also play pretty regularly. Since no one plays Tekken (sadfaces…), I’d like to start playing something else regularly that isn’t Marvel.
@figgy/vamp: You guys coming to the next monthly? I wanna make sure I got enough setups this time.
@Xiang: I know for sure I’ll be at the next monthly, and I’m pretty sure Vamp will be able to make it. I’ve got an EVO monitor coming to me very soon, so I think we’ll be able to bring two setups this time!
Is there a thread up for the Dubuque weekly or some more info? It seems to fit my schedule save for this week because I’m apartment hunting. I’d be interested in making the drive weekly.
@Kemps: I am going as well. I reserved one of the EVO rooms at Rio, and a couple people bailed on us, so currently there are only 3 people (including myself) staying in a super large room. If anyone (figgy included!) needs a room, we have it available. Just PM me or something.
