No entrance music because I seeded 5th and was too busy trying to make a run through everyone at the end until Olli stopped me. Wolverine opens me up like I’m a goddamned jar of Jif. (None of that Skippy or Peter Pan peanut butter shit. I know what choosy moms choose. Besides me, of course.)
Good stuff to everyone. Casuals after the tourney last night makes me think my days of winning here are done. Olli and Bill ruled me hard.
Equipment fund is up to $108. I’ll start looking harder for good prices on those monitors, considering we’re halfway to normal retail for it.

Here’s what’s up. Didn’t have the meeting with the venue on Tuesday because it was cancelled and I didn’t get word about it. I was going to talk with the general manager to finalize and approve everything, but she’s been busy with other events and the girl I’m working with forgot to tell me the meeting was cancelled. I was going to get a phone call and get a final decision, but the manager is still busy so I’m still waiting to get word on everything (sigh). Still can’t say much, but we did decide on a date. Early July, I’ll announce the rest when I can.
It’s a Dub-Town tradition. Come to the event to find out what the bell’s really for.

To be fair, hnk and fuc are broke in that just about every char has some dumb broke shit, most of which isn’t braindead simple. 2k2um’s more like marvel-broke where only like 5 or so chars are ridiculous and the rest of the cast (a very large cast, mind you) are just plain garbage. It’s damn near impossible to find high-level 2k2um play that doesn’t have some combination involving kula/k’/k9999/king/kasumi. (seriously, what the fuck’s up with snk and these “K” chars?!)
But meh, could be worse (XIII times worse). Still a fun game.

Yea its work related, finally got a long term position instead of the temp one I have now. Basically ufgt marks my moving date.

I kinda figured that might be an issue. I can give the venue a call tomorrow to see if we can push the date back to sometime in the fall, either late September or early October. The more imput the better as I can figure out what generally works for everyone.

I couldn’t get the bar for a Saturday, so I moved the tourny to a small shop called Battlezone Games. I know the peeps that work there, so we got a pretty decent deal. Address is in the initial post. Depending on how tomorrow goes, we’ll either keep having them there or move back to the bar.
