You have only 14 days left to register online for Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament 7, the Evo Qualifier taking place from May 27th through 29th in Chicago. Online registration is mandatory, and only emergency registrations will be taken on site (Thursday May 26th from 6pm to 10pm, and Friday May 27th from 9am to 11am). Emergency registrants will not been seeded by region, and will simply be placed into a bye in the bracket. If no byes remain, you will not be able to enter that game.
Hotel rooms are still only $69/night. Don’t wait until last minute to book your trip, and I’m looking forward to seeing you all this Memorial Day Weekend.

yes kof, lb2, and garou are still awesome. LB2 matches start about 53 minutes in.
Out of curiosity, is anyone playing MK? I was thinking of adding it to our monthly (starting after our next one). It’s getting big numbers, but I didn’t know if anyone in Iowa plays it.
I play it, but very VERY poorly at the moment. As soon as I remember there’s a freaking block button, I might be decent at it!
I was thinking of picking it up mostly because the Tekken scene is pretty much dead and won’t pick up again until Tag releases, but all the Tekken kids are playing MK. Calibur had a block button, so that wouldn’t bug me all that much. 
Makes sense. Game looks like a 2D Tekken/Calibur with projectiles, so the transition looks like it could work well. I doubt I’ll get into it, but I might learn enough about it to play it at casuals.
